Probably - I never saw it and have no idea what Errol Flynn had to do with it...

I really didn't think this would be all the that tough since it stars a very major Hollywood actor...

Jim--in the hopes of moving it along, one other hint I will offer is that the movie was later turned into a Broadway musical that lasted only a couple of months or less.

I saw this movie about 30 times on HBO when it was released to cable in 1983; my brother was the keeper-of-the-remote and he loved it, I loved it too. I think it's Peter O'Toole's best movie next to Lawrence of Arabia.

After the "I'm not an actor, I'm a movie star" clue, I remembered it was Peter O'Toole, but couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the movie.

When I was a teenager I had a friend named Sue who lived down the street from my grandparents on the Cape, where I spent all summer. Her mom was a divorced lady with some interesting friends but what struck me most about her was that every night she went to bed with Gone With the Wind playing in the VCR and I thought, 'how sad to fall asleep to the same movie night after night . . . Then I became a middle-aged single woman with insomnia and started falling asleep many nights to my all-time favorite movie:
I fell in love with this movie when it played in the theatres, when I was 14 years old. It recently occurred to me that the reason I loved it so much wasn't really the love story, but the story of a fiercely independent woman who sought adventure and didn't back down from fear. I still think this is one of Meryl Streep's best roles ever, and I love all of her work. She didn't get an Oscar for it, that went to another amazing actress is a very low-key but beautiful film released the same year. Bonus points if you can name that, Big RR.
