For virus protection? I have windows7 and my protection is due to end soon. I am looking for something free or at least cheap that does a good job.

Re: What you using
I use the free version of Avira Anti-Virus and the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
I used them when I was using Windows 7 and it also works with Windows 10.
They kill bugs dead.

You ever hear from Steve? Or Gwen, Or good old Editec?
Re: What you using
I have been using the free version of Avast for many years and have been very happy with it - my key criteria being that an antivirus program not be a memory or processor hog. You just need to be vigilant never to fall for the free trial offers of the complete version, which pop up on my screen at regular intervals.

Surprisingly enough, no...
You may recall that we didn't part on the warmest of terms...
But I'm sure Strop keeps in regular contact with editec; thick as thieves those two...

Re: What you using
I seem to recall Editec spent time in a psych ward and mistook Gob for one of his keepers there, something along those lines.Lord Jim wrote:You ever hear from Steve? Or Gwen, Or good old Editec?

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I use Panda FREE antivirus on my Windows 10. It appears to be doing what I expect so I doubt if I'll be dumping it for anything better. Here's a review:TPFKA@W wrote:For virus protection? Ditto. Annual update through Best Buy works out to be less than 25¢ per day. Give up one decaf/medium foam/gluten-free vente caramel mocha frappuchino from Starsucks every month and you've got it covered.Jarlaxle wrote:I use Kaspersky.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Re: What you using
Me too joe. I use nothing at all beyond the security the factory puts into the MacBook and the Apple Airport wifi system. I have been assured by the local independent Apple expert that I don't need anything else if I use common sense. But the stories about 3rd parties hacking the iPhone make me wonder.
