We need to focus on fixing the problem not stupid bullshit pseudo hypocrisy. If fixing the problem means reducing private jet travel then the answer to that is regulation which will have the overall effect of reducing private jet travel; not applying a uniquely different standard of behavior as a means of distracting attention from the real problem.

You know, I have not been sold on the Asperger's Syndrome theory regarding rube...

Primarily because from both what I've read and several folks with the syndrome that I'm acquainted with, it's my understanding that most people with AS are of above average intelligence from an IQ standpoint (whereas rube..well...) and also have very strong math skills...(whereas rube's "math skills" are self-evidently atrocious...)

However, I have to admit, there are a number factors on the other side of the scale...

Spewing unthinking nonsense, you mean. The point of the conference is to determine the scale of the problem and the methods to solve them and reach agreements about what we are all going to do. If it is the case that private jets are a major cause of pollution then they can identify them as such and put in place methods and rules (which will also effect themselves) to reduce them. But if it is the case that private jets are a trivial amount compared to what we need to do then it would be stupid to waste time and effort on that. But what I really want them to do is make progress on the big picture issues and form international agreements which will help us to reach those goals which will save us from as much harm as possible.
