hey, he compared me to one of the worst men in the recent history of the world.

he compared me to a man who s propaganda and ideas were the driving force behind one of history s greatest genocides.

so no, I don t like being nailed to that cross.

I don t even own a brownshirt , bigsky :nana

I did come within a cunt hair of becoming a registered republican this year, but I dodged that bitter bullet...

if trump loses the DE primary by one vote I will be devastated....

but if he wins by one vote I will be responsible, so it is what it is....

Wes, you can stop throwing yourself a pity party.  I did NOT compare you to "one of the worst men in the recent history of the world".  I merely noted that his famous dictum on the best way to get people to believe in propaganda had worked so well with you — first in getting you to believe in what you were being spoon-fed by Trump's own spinmeisters, and how you are slavishly using the same tactic now that you have decided to become a propagandist Trump supporter yourself — and provided a link to the quote, just in case you or any others weren't familiar with it.

If I had said something like "and you didn't even need to be waterboarded" — who would I have been comparing you to then, huh?  Trumpty-Dumpty himself, I guess; he's the one who is rattling sabers over North Korea and ISIS and, just like a modern-day Torquemada, suggesting that any information we can get about them should be obtained using whatever means are available.  Waterboarding not working quickly enough?  Right this way to the rack and thumbscrews, and make sure those pokers are red-hot!

And for the record, I have also quoted people as varied as Mark Twain, Will Rogers, Thomas Jefferson, William Shakespeare, Mahatma Gandhi, Confucius, Sun Tzu (author of "The Art of War"), and Johnny Carson's gag writers.  Surely you're not going to think that I am comparing you to all them as well?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

No he stated that your actions would fit the quote. Basically saying that you are the proof of his quote. There is no comparison to the man rather that you fit the phenomenon he describes. You don't even rise to the level of being worthy of comparison.

Well now, just judging from the responses to him in this thread, my prediction yesterday that by putting wes on ignore I "wouldn't be missing much" seems to have been a real Image

That's kinda like the USA congratulating itself for stepping into WW2 two years after it started.

ok bill, if semantics are that important to you...

you said that the Nazi propagandist extraordinaire and extermination specialist would be proud of me, did you not?

so you insinuated that I could have been his protégé.....

is that better?

doesn t seem any better to me....

you shouldn t be be surprised that I didn t bother to click on your link.

quote this post for jim since he missed the posts with my brilliant political insight and the part where i talked about "not liking having untrue things said about him" and "welcome to my world"

new York republican gala tonite....

cruz was last to speak....

he got only of minimum of polite applause ..., at first...

then there little to no reaction....

then, on Fox, they switched mikes to pick up the room noises...

and I swear that I heard them bussing the tables in the middle of his speech.....

people started talking....

he had a few loyalists hanging in there, but it is hilarious...

it is still happening now....

Yesterday I was able to spend my available posting time putting up some thoughtful stuff about state AGs and their responsibilities, rather than engaging in yet another pointless back and forth arguing against fantasy views about Drumpf...

I actually found it quite liberating... 8-) :ok
