The girl with the bow thing... Hunger Games
Aha! I actually saw that first one too.... taught me not to bother with the other 2, 3, 4 however.

Indeed! The quote was from President Snow.

I didn't think I'd be interested when a friend's teenaged son told me the premise; like the majority of film critics I found the movie to be terrific and have enjoyed each of the subsequent installments. Katniss is a badass role model for girls, way better than Disney princess crap!

Your turn, Meade.

Padre, there are subtleties! We are not concerned with motives, with the higher ethics. We are concerned only with cutting down crime and with relieving the ghastly congestion in our prisons
Only real pervs will get this one... (he said, on purpose, knowing it was easy)

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

They tried to ruin me, but they are ruined. They tried to ruin me because they didn't like what I have done. Do you like what I've done?

I can't compete this time around but is this a movie adapted from a book in the 1940s perchance? Hmmm?

Dammit I hate when I know the answer but am barred.... so many of the others I don't have a clue.

I'll just add this for now...

Scooter is on the right track, in that the movie has a political theme...

Right you are...

I thought that quote sounded like something that could have been taken straight out of a Donald Trump speech...
