It was a response to this:

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

But tell us how you really feel John...
Boehner calls Cruz 'Lucifer in the flesh'

Washington (CNN)Former House Speaker John Boehner called Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz "Lucifer in the flesh," in a withering interview at Stanford University published Thursday.

In it, he repeated many of the same attacks he used last month while calling on his successor, Paul Ryan, to seek the Republican nomination.

"Lucifer in the flesh," Boehner told Stanford's David Kennedy, a history professor emeritus, according to the Stanford Daily. "I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life."

I was about to post that. Could you imagine if he were the nominee, pro-Democrat SuperPACs could go to town running ads with that quote.,

I heard Theodore at a rally a little while ago say, "When John Boehner calls me Lucifer, he's not talking about me...he's talking about you"...

Presumably referring to his supporters...

You know, that's just the sort of thing I'd expect Lucifer to say... :?

The target audience is @W...Now that Carly Fiorina is on the ticket, she's going to run out and get herself a Cruz For President yard sign, slap a Cruz bumper sticker on her car, and next Tuesday cast an enthusiastic vote for him in the Indiana primary...
Now now aren't you Mr. Silly Pants?

I still have no idea how I will be voting Tuesday.

I must say that Mr. Trump really made himself so much more attractive lining up with The General.

OK not really.

Well I have to say that as much as I loathe the man, as a much as I would never want him to be President, if I lived in Indiana, I'd be voting for Ted Cruz next week...

Because the way the situation has played out, the only way to have any chance of preventing a Trump nomination, is for Cruz to win the Indiana primary...

Then if Trump is stopped from gaining a first ballot nomination, hopefully Cruz can be stopped on the second, and either Kasich or a player-to-be-named-later can ultimately emerge...

But if Trump wins in Indiana, that hopeful long-shot scenario goes from long-shot to no-shot...

It reminds me of the time I was forced to root for The Dallas Cowboys to win a final season game because the math made that the only way The Redskins could make the playoffs... :?

My feeling is that Trump will take it. I may write in something whimsical- I can't give Cruz a vote any more than I can Trump.

Liar
Did Ted Cruz REALLY say this? "While there may have been an age difference, Josh Duggar's transgressions are far less an affront to God than what gays do with each other."

FALSE

Stop the World, the Teabaggers Want Off is an entertainment Facebook group that frequently mocks conservative politicians and pundits with fake quotes, and their disclaimer states that their "page is for entertainment purposes" and "is NOT meant to be taken seriously." Although some conservative politicians have offered expressions of support for Josh Duggar, all of the quotes of that nature offered by Stop The World, the Teabaggers Want Off are ones that group has invented.

If Meade hadn't looked that up I would have...

As little as I think of Cruz, as soon as I read that my Hoax Meter Bell started clanging...

ETA:

It's utterly inconceivable to me that a guy with two young daughters would say such a thing, and if by some bizarre circumstance he actually had, it would have been big news all over the mainstream media...

Cruz wouldn't have said that. Everyone knows that a transgression is something that only a transsexual can do.

With endorsements like this...
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence Endorses Ted Cruz, Praises Donald Trump

Ahead of the potentially pivotal Indiana primary Tuesday, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence announced he will be voting for Republican candidate Ted Cruz.

"This is a time for choosing," Pence said on WIBC radio in Indianapolis. He called Cruz, a senator from Texas, a "principled conservative" who "stood up for taxpayers" in fighting spending in Washington, said he was "very impressed" with his "knowledge and devotion" to the Constitution and his "strong, unwavering stand" against abortion rights.

But Pence seemed to go out of his way to praise Republican front-runner Donald Trump. He also stressed that his endorsement was not intended to sway the votes of Indiana Republicans.

"I respect the right of every Hoosier in making their determination," Pence said, adding, "I encourage everyone to make up their own mind."

In fact, Pence mentioned Trump before mentioning his endorsement of Cruz.

"I like and respect all three of the candidates," Pence began. "I particularly want to commend Donald Trump," whom he said has given voice to people's frustrations. He said he was "grateful" for Trump at least twice — for taking a stand for Hoosier jobs. And "for his voice in the national debate. I'm not against anybody, but I will be voting for Ted Cruz in the Republican primary."

And, he added, "Let me be very, very clear on this ... whoever wins the Republican nomination I'm going to work my heart out for this fall."

who needs detractors...

This is like a guy who says:

"I love you, and I've decide to marry you, but I also think your sister is really hot, and she's got a lot of great qualities, and I could marry her just as easily...

if your parents decide it would be better for me to marry her, then I'll be happy to do that..."
