do you disagree? do we not have that right as americans?
Your Constitution doesn't say so. In fact, your Constitution does not say anything even remotely resembling this.
Don't get me wrong, I am a big proponent of the election of the President by popular vote, which is why I am a fan of initiatives like the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, but the supreme law of your country does not recognize any such right as you espouse.
So the question is, wes, should your country be ruled by the Constitution, or by the mob?

I will not be voting for Hillary Clinton, I will be voting against her.
Who I cast my vote "for" I will let you know on the wednesday after the first tuesday after the first monday of november.
I am depressed about the options in this cycle. Never has it been so bad.
And my first presidential election was Carter vs Ford.
Maybe I sit this one out. At least the pres ballot. There are a few local seats I will be voting "for".

What could have possibly shaken wesw's confidence in its ability to sweep the country?

Sue--I support the interstate compact as well. It's a good alternative to the way the states dole out electoral votes now.
oldr--I understand your position, I have often tired of "lesser of two evils" choices. However, before you decide to sit this one out (or write in Santa Claus or someone else), be certain you have thought through how bad each of the alternatives could be. I voted for Nader in 2000 as a protest vote, figuring "how bad could W be?" and I found that out in spades. It's not worth making that mistake just because your not happy with either of the choices unless you think they're equally bad (or at least close to that).

red is so..., so.... well..., blue is just better....
we ll settle for a nice royal blue as the republican colour....
don t worry guys...
we only want to borrow your party for a bit
it has been a useful vehicle, but it has a lotta miles on it and We will soon be trading it in on a new model....
Since when did you start spelling "color" with a 'u'?
And aren't you tipping your hand a little by referring to it as ROYAL blue? Since you want to start fresh and clean, maybe you should go with a nice, bright, shiny orange?
Lastly, will the "new" model look anything like this?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
Y'know, wes, I've been told that the sweet little ginger-haired lady whose image you're using as an avatar is actually a picture of your mother. She looks like a very fine, loving woman who would have done everything possible to see that you were raised and educated right. I wonder what she'd say if she were able to see you today.

With Ted Cruz and John Kasich out of the race, Donald Trump has become the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton's campaign wasted no time switching to general election mode, releasing a web video highlighting criticizing Trump. But Clinton didn't do it in her own words; the ad is a compilation of unkind things Trump's fellow Republicans have said about him during the party's nomination campaign.
It's harsh. Mitt Romney calls Trump a misogynist, Marco Rubio claims he's the most "vulgar person to ever aspire to the presidency," and Jeb Bush says Trump needs therapy.
It looks like the Clinton campaign isn't going to let any of the #NeverTrump Republicans forget that stance anytime soon.
You need to watch the video - those quotes are going to be played over and over and over again.
"When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind, as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not believe, he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime."
This was an attack ad created by a right-wing PAC. It demonstrated flip flop after flip flop after flip flop in Trump's positions on key issues. Plus, he says Obama did a great job for the economy and that Hillary Clinton is well qualified to be president.
The Democrats won't have to spend a whole lot producing campaign ads. Most of them have already been written by Trump himself.

In looking at all the candidates and after careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that we really must repeal the 22nd amendment and keep the Obama family in the White House. He does presidential better than any of the rest.

it s funny. people have been taunting trump about his hair, his face and his speech patterns, they have portrayed him as a clown and a hitler figure from day one....
but he makes fun of a reporter, a lying reporter who says that he can t remember sept 11 2001, or the article that he wrote about muslims celebrating the attack ( the day was really quite memorable), and he is labeled as a monster.
oh fucking well, how does it feel to be equal?
that s the goal right, equality?
he has been setting up this election, and the coming battle against a woman, for a year...
you really think that these things are accidents?
no, he had to prepare you wilting violets for a vicious campaign against a woman....
and the lying hypocrites like scooter are just befuddled.....
all scooter has in the way of opposition are stupid memes...., in which he constantly makes fun of peoples appearances and uses any other personal insult to hurt people.
a weasel is a weasel, crippled or not. if he can t run with the big dogs he should stay on the porch.
if I searched this "reporter" s work, I bet that that I would find snark in abundance, but it isn t an issue for me so I won t bother.
