If I were to add "no morals" to my already overflowing basket of psychosis, I'd be a sociopath. I've seen that person. I'd rather not describe him further.

I already turn my library books in late on a regular basis . . . but I'd like to steal a sailboat and sail around the world in it. It would be great if there was enough cash on board for provisions, too!
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

I'm a serial mattress tag remover...

And every now and then I run with a pair of scissors in my hand, just for the sheer thrill of it...

I'd move to Australia, start an internet chat room, become a cricket fan, and complain how hard my job is. :nana

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Does it make it worse knowing you've actually met me in person?

I have morals and I have empathy. 2 traits that are lacking in people with Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD, the clinical name for Sociopathy). I do have a personality disorder (I was diagnosed at 18, although symptoms had been there earlier) and I can tell you it doesn't get better with time.

Bad in a novel fashion. Bad in a way which was, as yet, unexplored. Unplumbed. Not yet tried.

I think I would make up fake tax forms and put them out in post offices and court houses with 'joke' tax rates and deductions or absurdist calculations which, no matter what number you start with, always equals 42. Perhaps refer to supplementary forms which don't exist. "If you have more than four child dependents you qualify for a "champion breeder" exemption please fill out form 10666". "You can deduct all money spent on strippers if they are legal immigrants." Or add lines with absurd questions like "How many fish can you name? Enter number on line 123." Or "Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? Yes Enter "1" No enter "0". "Did the illuminati help you fill out your return? Satan?"

There could be no end of fun. Sociology for the rest of us.

LOL!

Still having challenges grasping that whole sarcasm thing, I see...

(Or is that response supposed to be another example of your arid as the surface of Mars wit? :D )

The sarcasm was obvious and banal. My response was novel and witty.

At least I didn't recycle a joke from the cover of National Lampoon of 44+ years ago. Only a witless drudge and mental slug would do that.

Sucks to LJ and rubato, both. The above is not sarcasm (the use of irony to mock or convey contempt).

It is wry humor aimed at self.

You're all wrong.

It's an admission by Sue that all lawyers are bad people.

Okay, just to make sure I've got this straight...

To give a hypothetical example:

If I were to say in response to that post, ""That was a very valuable and useful bit of information; it's an important distinction to make. "...

That would meet the definition of "sarcasm", correct? :P

Okay rube, I admit it, you busted me dude...

Not every single joke I've told on these boards over the past 20 years has been original...

Actually, I remembered that particular joke not from the magazine, but from a bit on they did on the National Lampoon Radio Hour....

And frankly, I doubt that the joke was original with them....

You disappoint me Meade; when I said:

I expected you to say, "No, that would be a statement of fact"...
