Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
I thought Strop might actually get this one since he's a fan of the starring actor...

That wouldn't be my guess.

Re: Name That Movie!
I'd hope not because it ain't correct.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
And that's why it wouldn't be my guess.

Re: Name That Movie!
no it is not "pork chop hill"
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
I know this one, but I'm not eligible, so I guess we're going to have to wait for Big RR to show up...

Re: Name That Movie!
Okay, its now been a week with no one getting the answer to this, so I propose the adoption of a new protocol..
If after a week, no one has gotten the answer, no matter how many clues are given, the person whose movie it is should have two options:
1. Open it up to the previous quote provider to give the answer. (In this particular case, I happen to know the answer but I'm currently disqualified from answering. I believe Big RR also knows the answer, but he hasn't been around for a few days.)
Or: (and this would be my personal preference)
2. The movie quote giver gives the answer to the name of the film and provides a new movie and quote...
It seems to me that if one of these two things isn't done, this thread will just fall away and I think that would be a shame, since its been the best APT thread we've had around here for a long time....

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Been on vacation so I haven't been able to keep up on this. I figure one more quote one more day then I'll give another movie if no one gets it.
The Fifth Element
Natural Born Killers
Jaws
The Sopranos
Some confusing hints for lead and supporting actors and actresses:Maybe it was just his imagination, but whenever he'd pull up that plate, he'd hear a... sucking sound. It started out small, with the first 65 grand. And then it got bigger. Pretty soon it was the only thing he heard. Pretty soon, all he could think about was feeding the hole. He didn't think about when he was a kid. He didn't think about the guys who he started who were still on the up-and-up. He didn't think about the dreams he had with Natalie. He didn't think about those Feds lying there. Most of all, he didn't think about Mona Demarkov, because the way he saw it, she was done. Just another 65 grand for the hole. He fed the hole and he made the hole happy. It was the only thing he knew how to make happy.

Re: Name That Movie!
I give these hints because frankly the next movie I have in mind is even more obscure.

Re: Name That Movie!
I had a busy week last week and couldn't post; I believe the movie is Romeo is Bleeding.

I don't think you should refer to Big RR as a "wrong poster".

Touche Meade. And you do that job with relish, no doubt.
Thanks Crackpot; the original pster I attached wouldn't post and I just grabbed another without looking at it.
A new quote:

A new quote:
The strange thing about television is that it doesn't *tell* you everything. It *shows* you everything about life for nothing, but the true mysteries remain. Perhaps it's in the nature of television. Just waves in space.

Underrated film...one of my favorites...
I remember the reviews at the time left it ripped and torn to shreds...

Re: Name That Movie!
Jim--Wasn't Network nominated for best picture (and in a year where it was 1 of only 5 movies, not like now when we need more and more nominees). I think Peter Finch and Faye Dunaway also won for best actor and actress. Did it really get bad reviews?
It's one of my favorites also.
