Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Again, folks, you can't hotlink images from IMDB, as this forum isn't an authorized referral source and they don't show up for anyone else in the forum. They show up for the person that posted it because the image is cached in your browser.

(note, for those that can't see the image Bicycle Bill guessed "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone").

I've managed to get this far in life without reading a Harry Potter book or seeing a Harry Potter movie. I'm not knocking the genre. Just not my cup of tea. I'm sure my older granddaughter has read all of them, but my younger one can't read yet.

You don't need to be a child to enjoy, no actually to love, Harry Potter. I read the books and saw the movies before there were young kids in my life. It just made it even more enjoyable to go back and reread the books and re-see the movies through their eyes.

Oh, and there is a new book coming out this summer. HP as an adult and featuring his son Albus. That's why I chose this particular quote - the speaker is Albus Dumbledore.

I actually read most of the books with my kids, even saw some of the movies, and recall the quote was from Harry Potter, but couldn't have told you which film. Congratulations BB.

Next quote:
"STAND BACK!  Be silent!  Be still!...
That's it... and look upon this moment.  Savor it!  Rejoice with great gladness!  Great gladness!  Remember it always, for you are joined by it.  You are One, under the stars.
Remember it well, then... this night, this great victory.  So that in the years ahead, you can say, 'I was there that night, with Arthur, the King!'  For it is the doom of men that they forget."

"Arthur the king" was a bit too much of a clue, I think.

You've got it, Crackpot.

I figured that there have been so many movies featuring the Arthurian legend that it wouldn't be that much of a giveaway.  Not to mention that "Excalibur" hasn't been played to death on TV or the movie channels like some other flicks I could mention.

We've moved on, and in that case the skills would probably have been acquired in Bangkok.
