Gob stated that losing the colonies worked out better for Great Britain than it did for the USA.

Pointing out that "if not for the USA, Britain would be speaking Japanese" merely reinforces how lucky "we" were to lose the colonies so y'all could come in and save "us" (as if).

I suppose you could be referring to Australia.... which I don't think he was, bearing in mind that he's a Cornish Welshman (or vice versa and probably).

I agree, it would more likely be German. :nana

You and Gob both shift your national identities when it suits you.

I was thinking of another set of words but I'll refrain....

I was referring to The Greater East-Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, which is closer to Oz then to GB.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Hey, I kept putting "us" in inverted commas so you knew it wasn't my claim.... sheesh. No credit when due :shrug

I was referring to the land down under.

The Japs could've rolled into AUS with no one to stop them (except for an under-manned cadre of poorly-equipped troops).

The USA came to the rescue (as we usually do). :ok

More like a pigeon Japanese, a simplified language for servants. I doubt if they could master real Japanese.

My daughter is fluent in Japanese, and both she and I have been there for extended times.

Here she is in a Japanese newspaper report, when she was on a cultural exchange visit.

Have you ever been there Aspergers boy?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
