Ex-Giant Darryl Strawberry: I used to have sex between innings

Former Major League Baseball slugger Darryl Strawberry, who played one year for the Giants, told a radio show that he used pick women out of the stands and have sex with them in the clubhouse between innings.

And to think that last year Pablo Sandoval got into big trouble for breaching clubhouse etiquette when he used his smartphone to "like" a photo of a woman in his Instagram feed.

Even though it would be years before MLB put a 145-second limit on half-inning breaks, Strawberry still wouldn't have had much time before he had to return to the outfield or on-deck circle. Foreplay must have been out of the question.

But as he tells it, he had no problem finding willing female fans.

"Between innings. It worked out well, just how crazy it was," Strawberry told Sirius XM's Mad Dog Sports Radio with Evan Cohen on Thursday. "It kind of worked out that way. You point [a woman] out and tell the kid [to go get her]."

The "kid" was a clubhouse attendant, who must have plenty of stories to tell today.

Sex wasn't the only vice Strawberry indulged in between innings. He also said he used to drink in the clubhouse and smoke in the dugout.

So the clubhouse attendant was the designated hitter?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Don't forget he was also able to find time to do a little nose candy (cocaine); he was suspended by MLB for substance abuse not just once, not just twice, but THREE TIMES in his career.  What's the old saying — "once is happenstance; twice is a coincidence; three times is a distinct pattern"?

Gee, I wonder why he wasn't banned for life like Pete Rose was?  I guess gambling is a more heinous offense to MLB than using illegal drugs, juicing, or 'roiding one's self up (and yes, I'm looking at the both of you, Mr. McGwire and Mr. Sosa).

He's trash.

I'm ashamed that he played ONE season with the SF Giants.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

In their draft year Darryl Strawberry and Billy Beane (As Executive VP) were considered the most talented prospects. Each of them had a different shortcoming which kept them from realizing their potential.

He was disgusting. And bragging about it now is also gross. What does is teach the dwindling number of kids who still adore baseball?

The same thing that most other highly-paid sports stars, pop singers, movie and TV stars, and politicians have been teaching them for the past couple of generations — The Golden Rule:

.....Darryl Strawberry, who played one year for the Giants, told a radio show that he used pick women out of the stands and have sex with them in the clubhouse between innings.
Those women were just doing what most fans do. They were rooting for the home team.

Seems Daryl has turned his life around.
from wiki
He is an evangelical born-again Christian and has appeared on The Trinity Broadcasting Network. In 1999, he and Tiny Lister appeared on evangelist Benny Hinn's T.V. program giving their testimonies. Strawberry has also appeared on The 700 Club to talk about his life and his newfound faith in Jesus.[23]

Darryl frequently donates to charity and is a headliner of the BGC Charity Day event at BGC Partners, where he brokered over 5MM GD4.5 roll.[24]

In October 2005, his wife Charisse filed for divorce.[25]

He now resides in St. Charles County, Missouri with his third wife Tracy whom he met in a drug recovery convention. The couple were married in October 2006 and have since founded "The Darryl Strawberry Foundation", an organization dedicated to children with autism.
And he and his wife (3rd I think) founded their own ministry and rehabs.

Whatever keeps them sober.

I watched a show on espn last week (yes I watched tv for a change :o ) 30-30 I think it was. It was about Strawberry and Gooden, their time with the Mets and their susequent downward spirals. While I thinjk DS has changed his life, DG looked as though he was going to jump out of his skin. Calm and cool as opposed to nervous and jittery. I hop DG has the transformation that DS has had.

The bad behavior of sports heroes provides a very good way for parents to initiate conversations with their kids about morality, honor, courage & other values; and its been so since Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, and the Black Socks. Its more a service than a problem.
