Invented out of whole cloth, was it? Some animator just invented that script out of his or her own head?

I'm not sure what you think you're trying to prove, but I've lost interest.

I'm not sure what you are trying to prove either.

Seriously, the border? So because they have edited out the border, that negates the source of the image?
No, dummkopf.  It's because the border has been *ADDED* and *ENHANCED* in the single-frame that it negates the source of the image and exposes it as fakery.

Can text from the Koran be seen in an image taken from the cartoon, or not? If you say no, then Mattel is lying, and the animation studio contracted to do the work is remaining silent while allowing itself to be libelled and losing a major job. Are they all in on the conspiracy?

Well that would be my sentiments, but some people seem to have gotten their knickers twisted by the fact that whoever did it got caught at whatever little game they had in mind.

Some low level idiot inserted it thinking they were being clever. In doing so they used the animation company and the company who hired them for their own childish end.

It is certainly true, as scooter pointed out, that it was deliberate and it was a passage from the Koran. I don't think there is any moral theory which exonerates someone for using others in an evil purpose like this. I only hope that the animation company can identify the person and have him/her apologize in front of every mosque in 100 mile radius. Or just publish his/her name address &c. to Al Jazeera and let nature take its course.

Ah, Rubato is back recommending torture and murder of a fellow human.

Why assign "evil" motives? As it happens, in real time, it is not possible to distinguish WHAT is on that paper. Only by careful stop-motion can it be seen to have a couple of key characteristics of what might be (might be) a much enhanced or even substituted page (a tiny piece of border is visible, top left; three of the large characters can be matched).

What possible advantage could accrue to the perpetrator in furtherance of anything evil or immoral?

How about this? Of course it was deliberate - deliberately lazy. A person had to put in a piece of paper with "gibberish" written on it. Cast around to avoid having to actually work at producing something. Probably didn't find a Hebrew torah or a Chinese Buddhist text but would have used either one. Found a Q'ran page and bunged it in.

Grow up

I suppose those "artists" who put a cross in urine or elephant dung on the Blessed Mary issued apologies too.
And if they didn't, we should publish their names and addresses and let "nature take it's course".

Well oldr, if those artists did it in a kids TV show, they would owe the kids and parents some sort of apology, but otherwise no (and IMHO, those who did this might should have the same obligation). But I still think it was some jerk who thought it was "funny" (though why he thought that, I cannot comprehend). This has no place in a kids show.

On the other hand, if someone wants to make a political statement in another forum not aimed at kids, it should be their right, even if it does offend some.

And FWIW, as I recall the Mary/elephant dung picture was not intended to be an insult of any sort, it was some sort of traditional painting style the artist used. Would you also object to the use of dead chicken embryos in tempra paint? :nana

Back in the day chip designers would put cartoon characters or other jokes in the unused surface of an IC as an inside joke knowing that they can only be seen with a microscope. There were innocent jokes with no intent to do harm.

In this case an asshole thought by having the image go by so quickly he could make a really evil comment about Islam by having him step on the page and then it flits across the screen. He could have, but did not, use a different religious text because the intention was to give offense in a racist way to a particular group. The intent was evil , to do harm. And he used other people to do it, using other people is evil in itself. No one has the right to make another person a tool.

He used other people to make a grotesque insult and then appear as if they were in on it. He caused enormous harm to the company he worked for and its other employees.

Increasing the level of mutual hatred and mistrust in a moment in history when passions already boil up into violence is inexcusable evil and hatred. White Americans kill Sikhs ( not knowing the difference ) and bomb mosques. Muslims attack and kill non- Muslims.

I hope he is fired and his name and address are published everywhere.

Grow up and learn the rudiments of morality yourself.

PS
I did not recommend torture or murder. That is a lie. You must apologize if you wish to appear moral.

Like I always say, if you really want to insult a Muslim, have a children's cartoon character trip over a page of the Koran. It works every time...

Your comment quoted above is a clear incitement/call/code for vengeance involving bodily harm.

OTOH, if you agree that Trump was making a rather feeble joke and did NOT call for "one of our adversaries to engage in hacking or intelligence efforts against the United States" - well, then I'll agree you may not have been continuing to advocate savagery as you did in the case of the Ferguson city council.

While I agree that his employer is most likely within its rights to fire him (unless, e.g., they told him to put the page in), why should his name be publicized? To what end?

I prefer my chicken embryos over easy (sans paint). With some fried sliced pork bellies.

Of course it was; if rube wishes to appear moral he should apologize for it ...(as well as apologizing for insulting the intelligence of everyone here by trying to claim that was not his intent...)
Trump was making a rather feeble joke
Well, Trump's entire campaign could be properly characterized as "a rather feeble joke"...

But given all the outrageous/crazy/stupid/racist/illegal/unconstitutional things he has called for about which there is no doubt regarding his sincerity, anyone could be easily forgiven for believing he might very well be serious about this as well....

I take it then you also do not object to the historic practice of grinding up Egyptian mummies to acquire a pigment known as "mummy brown", nor would you express outrage if someone were to start doing it again?
