— in 1987 he was a Republican
— by 1999 he was an Independent
— in 2000 made a failed run for the Presidency as a Reform Party candidate
— by 2001 was calling himself a Democrat
— in 2009, returned to the Republican party
— and in 2011, was again claiming to be an independent with no party affiliation
— and now (since 2015) claims to again be a Republican ... the 3rd time in 30 years.

The facts are there, people.

Speaking of Presidential Timber, the current POTUS is speaking at the DNC following a film that captured the grace and class he's brought back to the office after many years of it lacking in the Oval Office.

Maybe he was only a community organizer, state legislator and one-term Senator before becoming President, but he had an innate Presidential temperament that overcame any lack of experience.

Too bad for that 22nd Amendment . . . I'd happily vote him in again!

Very interesting news cycle right now. FiveThirtyEight, the statistics and polling analysis experts, must be doing alot of processing right now.

They usually update their odds on the presidential election very frequently. Right now their tote board has not changed in 13 hours.

They have it 'if the election were today' with the Donald winning by about 25 electoral votes. But for the actual election in November, they have Hillary by about 30 electoral votes.

And they are still grinding what they think the speeches last nite mean.

It would be a bad sign for Trump if he can’t at least tie Clinton in polls conducted in between the RNC and the DNC. Since recent convention bounces have averaged 3 or 4 percentage points, and Trump trails Clinton by 3 or 4 points now, that would suggest he’d had a below-average convention bounce. And it would certainly be a bad sign for Clinton if she doesn’t lead after her convention, since she both holds the lead going into the conventions and gets to hold her convention last.

Beyond that, you should read the polls with some caution over the next few weeks. * * *

The final tally will not matter. The election will be decided by eight justices, or less, on the Supreme Court.

I doubt that. I would be very surprised if the SC would even take the case, this time around.

What I'm afraid of is that it might be decided by the House of Representatives.
