Actually, I think it was "Cars 2", not the first one.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Yup. they were in the first one, CarsMajGenl.Meade wrote:That's Click and Clack - they were in a movie?
You go Datsunaholic. Yugo? What?

Rusty Rust-eze: Yeah, don't drive like my brother!
When I had "Car talk" on the radio one morning, my granddaughter was very surprised to hear Click and Clack deliver those lines. She'd probably watched the movie on DVD a dozen times.

As the criteria for this game was originally established, they are not eligible...Question: Are made for TV movies eligible for this game?
Personally I don't care....

Character 3: And that's not incense. <boom>

Re: Name That Movie!
My personal feeling is that made-for-TV movies should not count unless they went on to become cultural icons in and of themselves, so that's why I put the kibosh on them when I introduced this thread.Lord Jim wrote:As the criteria for this game was originally established, they are not eligible...Question: Are made for TV movies eligible for this game?

Something like "The Day After" or Spielberg's "Duel" would probably be OK with me, but if we open it up to all TV movies there is a whole raft of "one-and-done" time-killers from Lifetime or the Hallmark Channel that no one here would have ever seen unless you bought a video copy out of the '2 for $10' bin at WallyWorld. I would even draw the line at HBO or AMC 'originals', because unless you pay extra to get those channels you don't get the opportunity to see them.
The other thing is that if we allow made-for-TV movies, then what do we do about mini-series like the original "Roots", "Shogun", or "The Thorn Birds", just to name a couple of the better ones?
Your opinions may differ, of course, and if the general consensus now is that TV movies are OK I will not object too strenuously.

Very funny Ray. There wasn't a Battlestar Galactica movie (at least not a theatrical one). But I see where you went with that. But if you wanted to go with a TV series that had one of the main cast in that was also in the movie I quoted, you should have gone with "V". The 2009 version, that is.
This one really stumped folks? My last ones were guessed so quickly...
Another quote, perhaps?

Character 4: This landing is gonna get pretty interesting.
Character 1: Define "interesting".

Plan 9 from Outer Space (aka Grave Robbers from Outer Space)?
Re: Name That Movie!
Well at least folks have figured out it's a sci fi flick...
I already answered one this week, but I guess if nobody else is going to get it I'll answer this one...
I'm surprised CP doesn't know it...

Not that big of a sci fi guy. One of the Star Treks?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I think know the answer, but not from the quote and I've not even seen the movie.
But I loved BG (old and new) and happen to know there are two related(?) films - Firefly and this one...

Re: Name That Movie!
Serenity was definitely better. I guess it helps to have a bit of a budget.

Yes, Serenity. LJ has it. I suspected someone would miss with the TV show name (which had an episode with the same name as the movie)
