Re: Who's your side?
Costs nothing to be nice! Would that certain posters on another forum understood that one gets what one gives... but I digress.
Good luck to your Flyers!
Is it alright if I also root for the Penguins? I know they are a rival to the Flyers!

I Love Hockey!

Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

I love hockey ...but my team is sucking, right now!
Last game, they scored against themselves!!!!
Sharks lost in overtime when defenceman Dan Boyle scored into his own net.

Re: Who's your side?
I haven't followed the Flyers since the days of Dave Schultz and the Broad Street Bullies, and even then it was mostly 'cause as a teenager I didn't know any better; in South Jersey and Philly it's just what you do. Back then, the Flyers all used to go for pizza and beer at this place in Jersey right over the bridge, so we were always running into them around the neighborhood.Beer Sponge wrote: Good luck to your Flyers!
I saw that on the news -- sorry, but it was hi-larious!loCAtek wrote:I love hockey ...but my team is sucking, right now!

Nope, just a summer where I will swim, bike, and run to my heart's content, surrounded by amateurs. Better to be doing than watching!Sue U wrote:Gonna be a long summer for you.Guinevere wrote: (I'm boycotting professional sports this year, I think)

The look of death Boyle got from the goal tender (Nabokov) was priceless.loCAtek wrote:I love hockey ...but my team is sucking, right now!

Looks like your sharks won tonight! And Boyle scored on the right goalie this time!

I expect to go straight to hell...........at least I won't have to spend time making new friends.
Re: Who's your side?
Years ago my two favorite hockey teams were the Bruins and the Flyers. My favorite players were Bobby Orr, who I believe to be one of if not the best to ever play the game, and Bobby Clark.

There is a reason that Bobby Clarke is a hockey legend and is still treated as a god around these parts.

Clarke and Orr had uncanny skating ability much like Sidney Crosby today.Sue U wrote:There is a reason that Bobby Clarke is a hockey legend and is still treated as a god around these parts.

It brings a tear to my eye to know there are a good number of hockey fans on this forum.
So, who wants to talk playoffs?

Gordie Howe...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

If we're naming the greats from years gone by, I will add the Great One himself, Wayne Gretzky!

Unfortunately they lost. The Senators just plain out skated them.
