If you don't mind MG, here's a hint that I don't think will give it away--it's fairly old (more than 30 years I think), and stars someone who died around 5 years (or so, I'm not sure) after making it and her husband.

Actually, she died a lot longer than five years ago...

Yeah, BigRR dangled a modifier or something, but the approximate year of death was accurately stated. Yet another movie I have never seen.

Since Gene Wilder's death (and biography) has been all over the news this week, I learned that he married Gilda Radner after having met and worked with her in the 1982 film "Hanky Panky", and she did precede him in death in 1989.  Five years, seven years — close enough, so I'm gonna play a hunch and guess that the line is from that movie.

As Long Run said, a movie I haven't seen either.  But based just on the blurb alone, it's one I will definitely check out.

But of course. A bit of boudoir humor there Meade?

Jim--next time I will be clearer; I wrote the hint in a hurry.

BB--I didn't think my hint would get so quick a response--sorry MG.

I take it that I got in a lucky guess?  So be it.

Technically the way we've been doing this BB, it's not officially confirmed until the person who posted the quote confirms that the answer is correct...

But you're on pretty firm ground... 8-)

ETA:

In fact it was the guy who started this thread who set that as the standard:
4) There are times similar quotes have appeared in different movies, so please wait until the poster of the original quote acknowledges that the correct movie was identified before posting the next quote.

Pay no attention to the man behind that table saw, BB.

Is it "Captain Blood"?

You got it BB, but then I guess you already figured that out. I thought a small piece of homage to Gene Wilder was in order.

Sorry, I only have time during the day to be on plan B when things are slow at work. Today was not one of those days.

I didn't look back far enough to see who actually posted the quote; since Big RR put up the hint, I assumed he had put up the quote as well.  Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Nope, but you're in the correct genre.
