Or maybe just "housefellows"; it wouldn't be the first time this "staying together" just to keep up appearances was done by a politician, and here there are two.

People, not just politicians, stay married for all sorts of reasons and have developed their own "understandings" of how things are going to work. Surely no one is suggesting that every couple as old as and married as long as the Clintons are still acting like lovesick teenagers.

Scooter--I'm sure somewhere there are people that are, disingenuously or not. And whatever their arrangement, I really don't care--it doesn't affect my thoughts of how good or bad a president she will be.

There are a lot of ways of coping with marital infidelity. What people are able and willing to do with a good heart and robust self-respect appears to vary a great deal.

I know of couples who have made the choice to carry on and the choice to pack it in and I respect them equally for their decisions.

If she had left him after discovering any of his numerous infidelities, she would have been labelled a wanton slut without any regard for the sanctity of her marriage vows. She decided to stay, and so that makes her an opportunist whose only motive for staying with him was to advance her political career.

Re Hillary's health, I heard Hillary said this morning that at least her pneumonia got republicans to think of women's health. Pretty good line.
