"The Shootist" is perhaps one of my favorite John Wayne films (next to "The High and the Mighty").

"Gypsy", with Natalie Wood portraying the life story of noted terpsichorean ecdysiast Gypsy Rose Lee?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
Sounds like someone wants to marry a stripper is the basic plot. But I don't have any unique movies from 1976 up my sleeve.

I was thinking Woody Allen but don't recall a line like that. Has to be a comedian of some kind though. It's an obvious joke rather than anything serious

Re: Name That Movie!
I wish I hadn't googled this one, because it turns out I actually saw this movie, and liked it quite a lot (though I don't recall this particular line). "A unique movie" indeed. Looks like Big RR might have it.
