I hate cancer. It's unfair. I'm very sad to hear about your mother. Have a safe trip and be well.

Gob, so sorry. That's surely not the type of news you need to hear but I get a sense that it was also no surprise. Regardless, a tough road lies ahead for all involved. You are in my thoughts. Peace be with you.

Sorry Gob. Went through it in 2013. My heart is with you.

I hope they are wrong. Safe travels to you and peace to you both.

Many thanks people.

I fly out tomorrow night, due to security restrictions there is a two day wait before you can book and board an international flight now.

The doctors sent her home from hospital, telling my sister she had 'a few days" left so I hop she's still there when I get back.

Support and offers of help from UK friends (places to stay, offers of cars, etc,) has been heartening and almost overwhelming.

I'm a bit in limbo now.

That sucks.
Prayers are coming your way. And over to the UK too.

I hope you get there in time to say goodbye to your mum and that her passing is peaceful & as painless as possible.

Here now. Mother is still with us, but she's obviously on the brink. I'm having a beer in the pub her and my dad used to drink in as a nostalgia trip. Will look in when the dust settles.

Glad you made it in time; hope she is not so far gone that she doesn't recognize the fact you are there.
Peace be on the both of you, bro.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

So sorry to hear this mate. We're all thinking of you here.
