Fox News Again....

Post by Joe Guy »

As I often do, I turned the TV to Fox News today to see what they're talking about. I usually start at CNN but I switch to Fox to get the 'Fair & Balanced' view...

When I first tuned in, there were a couple talking heads discussing the presidential election polls and how they don't represent the 'real numbers'. Two of them came to the conclusion that the polls aren't accurate because Trump's followers might not be giving correct information. According to them, there is a large 'silent' group of voters that make up at least another 5% of Trump supporters, which would put Trump above Hillary in some polls or at least tied with her.

I tuned out and then went back about 10 minutes later and they were talking about US participation in the new offensive to retake the city of Mosul in Iraq. The same two people concluded that Barack Obama is just doing this to help Hillary win the election.

I'm not saying Fox is the only news agency that does that. CNN does similar things. Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon are so anti-Trump that they can't hide the joy on their faces when they talk about Trump grabbing women. MSNBC is exactly like Fox but they're on the other side of the aisle.

Nowadays I get worn out pushing the buttons on my remote control. After a night of watching news my fingers are cramping and my eyes are crossed. One night I tried changing channels with my toes and then I couldn't walk for a week.

I don't know about you but I need a news channel with plain looking people who have absolutely no personality or opinion so I can fall asleep in front of the TV like I used to do.

btw- is there any one place to tune in for unbiased news anymore?

Was there ever?

Never mind...

I fall asleep best to the BBC news channel myself - I agree the others are far too animated and not the comforting drone of news casters of old.

Forensic Files also has a soothing narrator and pacing that is very conducive to falling asleep - when you're sick of the news.

Quite the opposite, I watch Forensic Files (via streaming video) and find the program absolutely fascinating.

I fall asleep to KCBS radio AM 740 kilo-cycles amplitude modulation.

The news can almost be a carbon copy of the day before.

zzzzz-zzzzz-zzzzzz-zzzzzz- etc.

My solution I don't watch TV (I make an exception for weathly, God-fearing rednecks blowing things up).

I love FF too, dales - but it's easy to fall asleep to when I'm tired.
