Texas student crashes car while taking topless selfie, police say

BRYAN, Texas -- Police say a 19-year-old Texas A&M University student who rear-ended a squad car told an officer she was taking a topless selfie.

Miranda Kay Rader posted $200 bond after she was charged with drunken driving and possessing alcohol as a minor.

A police report says an officer was checking a reported disturbance when he heard brakes squeal and an SUV slam into the patrol car behind him. Rader told the officer she was taking a topless selfie of herself to Snapchat to her boyfriend.

Police say an open bottle of wine was in her console cup holder.
Sad news for some here that the actual photo at issue has not been published. :?

I'm certainly overly tied to my device, but I try to take breaks. And I would never take a topless selfie while driving. Or drink while driving inc, but this next generation is insane. I just tried a case this week where the parties met on facebook, hooked up, dated for two weeks, broke up via text, then she told he she was pregnant via text. I'm surprised they didn't limit themselves to sexting only. I feel sad for their kid.

It certainly would have been better if they had... :?

Thanks for clearing that up Guin; I was seriously concerned that might be something you would do... :D

I can't imagine anyone wanting a topless selfie of me while driving.

Here's all you need to know about Miranda. No topless selfies, however. Check out the comments.

Ok, when do you take them then?
