Assuming he wins he better do what he said he would do or leave the country. I think that most of the people who voted for him don’t particularly like him, but are looking for a savior. Is it fair that my friend could loss his job to a Mexican truck driver, a non citizen? He made the decision to leave trucking and take a lesser paying job when his daughter was young so he could be home with her and his wife. Now that his daughter doesn’t need him as much he is ready to go back to trucking. But now there may not be a job for him. How does one compete with a Mexican trucker that will work for less? If you don’t favor my friend you are racist because he is black as well as an outstanding father and husbandBoSoxGal wrote:I'm just truly sick at heart. Now all I can hope is that Trump's been playing them all along, and that he'll revert to his previous liberal positions once he's in office.
And I can't believe I just typed that. Trump in office.

It proves that any rich kid can grow up to be president in America where at least half of the voters are below average intelligence.

It proves that if the GOP lies about someone long enough they can swing an election to the worst person possible.

How about they are just sick and tired of the same old crap, lies and half truths the politicians spew campaign after campaign all for the purpose of being re-elected.I'm just truly sick at heart. I don't understand this country at all, it seems. I can't believe so many people are either this stupid or this hateful.
And yes, I voted for Trump, or more accurately, I voted against Clinton.
I was going to vote for Johnson, but when the time came I just could not fill in the dot for him.
I guess I am stupid, hateful and lets not forget, deplorable. I don't think I am any of those things, but your milage may vary.

Its a good time to post this again:

"Sir John Pakington taunted him in this way, recalling the passage in the "Representative Government" where he [Mill] said the Conservatives were the stupidest party in the state. Mill replied:
" I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it. Suppose any party, in addition to whatever share it may possess of the ability of the community, has nearly the whole of its stupidity, that party must, by the law of its constitution, be the stupidest party; and I do not see why honorable gentlemen should see that position as at all offensive to them, for it ensures their being always an extremely powerful party.... There is so much dense, solid force in sheer stupidity, that any body of able men with that force pressing behind them may ensure victory in many a struggle, and many a victory the Conservative party has gained through that power."

Yeah, call people stupid. That's one way to win friends and influence people and get them to se your point of view.
Must be me.

It's Election Day In America!
My vote yesterday morning was similar to our 43rd President of the United States poll experience. I fully avoided any top ballot choices but went straight ticket for down ballot candidates.
I disapproved of Hillary and Drumpf equally and couldn't in good conscience vote for either of them. And voting a third party candidate was unacceptable.
And I feel fine. This, too, shall pass.

Why? Because you could not find one you agreed with enough to vote for? Or because you won't vote third party on principle? And voting a third party candidate was unacceptable.

How many people went to bed last night hoping you'd wake up to something like this in the morning?

No such luck.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Your party nominated and elected Bush II who caused the worst economic collapse in 80 years, got us into a perpetual war because of a lie, and created ISIS.
Now your party nominated and elected Trump, the most unfit disgusting human being ever to be president.
And your reaction is a stupid joke?
Fuck you, fuck the Republican party, and fuck you all until you die.

I read somewhere that the above was Hillary's first draft of her concession speech.

Well, we did our part down here in Illinois, and we even contributed a great new Democratic Senator (Tammy Duckworth) to the cause.
ETA: rubato - you should go read Wonkette, and maybe even buy one of the t-shirts.
