Re: Name That Movie!
With the upcoming holiday season in mind:
A: We don't take hostages. King James would not approve.
B: You'd rather see us annihilated?
A: She's done enough for us. She risked a beating out of her own brains to save mine. Had she not fed us, you would have starved. She's been the instrument to preserve this colony from disaster. We shall not return her kindness by making her a captive! Come, threaten me! Then I'd know I was gonna live for 1,000 years.
B: She and her lot are on the verge of killing us all. I expect there will be scarce a handful alive when the boats return if they ever do. You told us yourself that her father regards her as no one else. Or, do you have private reasons for this attitude of yours?
A: Return to your post. The penalty for disobeying an order of the president is hanging. You're breaking the laws. This is mutiny.
B: Me breaking the laws? [shouting] I have information A here is planning to marry the wench and make himself King of Virginia.

Winner on the first try.
It's not everyone's cup of tea (Malick is a director you either love or hate), but it's worth a watch. It's the story of the early british settlement of Virginia imncluding John Smith and Pocahontas, and has stunning cinematography.

Re: Name That Movie!
I was thinking something along those lines i (John Smith and Pocahontas) but the only movie I know of that had Pocahontas in it was the Disney movie of the same name.
Re: Name That Movie!
That one was a total guess, I've never seen the movie (it's in my queue to watch) but from the content of the quote I figured it had to be that - because that language didn't seem akin to Disney's Pocahontas.
Does that count as a win? I did not Google the quote, I swear!

BSG--a guess is a win. Let's have a new quote.

I know this one, and since I haven't done one for a while, I'm going to go ahead and take it:

Re: Name That Movie!
You got it, LJ!
The only movie I always watch when I find it playing on TV. Sublime, it is.

This one is seasonal, and should be pretty easy:
haven't you play-acted cop enough for one day?

The wesw story?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
