another observation that I will make is that the record setting rural vote was only a taste.
so many of us out here had lost faith in govt and in democracy.
they didn t think that they could make any difference.
now they see that they can.
expect another record setting small town vote in four years.

Remember when Reagan told you to ask yourself "Are you better off than you were four years ago"? That's the standard that Trump should be held to; and unless Trump is able to follow through on some of his promises and people *DO* start seeing a marked improvement in their lives, these same people that supposedly swept him into power (with a minority of the popular vote, btw) are going to be out there with torches and pitchforks screaming for his head on a pike.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Or unless Herr Drumpf tells you to. This was the Reichsführer's response when Obama beat Romney in 2012 ....wesw wrote:we don t go out in the streets unless absolutely necessary.

Compare that to his tweet from last Thursday:

I guess it depends on whether you're looking down from on top or you're on the bottom and looking up.

Guess someone forgot to tell them they're supposed to leave their ballots at the polling station to be counted; otherwise the lack of any perceptible effect on voter turnout would have us thinking you made it up.wesw wrote:the record setting rural vote

Sorry, John...

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.
