I Hope They Throw The Book At Her...

After they smack her around the head with it first:
Conspiracy Theorist Arrested for Death Threats Against Sandy Hook Parent

A Florida woman who said the Sandy Hook massacre of 26 people — including 20 children — was a hoax has been indicted for making death threats to one of the shooting victim's parents, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Lucy Richards, 57, was indicted on four counts of transmitting threats in interstate commerce, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday. Each count carries a maximum of five years in prison.[I hope she gets sentenced to the max on each, and ordered to serve them consecutively. If ever a case cried out for making an example, this is it. I'm really sorry horsewhipping isn't one of the available sentencing options.]

Richards, of Tampa, Florida, was arrested Monday, the DOJ said.

Richards is accused of making a series of death threats to a parent of one of the children killed in the mass shooting on or around Jan. 10 of this year, according to the DOJ statement.

Richards' arrest came just one week before the fourth anniversary of the Dec. 14, 2012 shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 children and six adults were killed.

Authorities allege Richards sent the individual messages saying "you gonna die, death is coming to you real soon" and "LOOK BEHIND YOU IT IS DEATH," according to the indictment.

Richards' belief that the school shooting never occurred was the motivation behind the death threats, the DOJ said.

In the years since the shooting, various online conspiracy website have falsely claimed the shooting was a massive hoax concocted to erode Second Amendment gun rights.

Richards is scheduled for initial court appearance on Dec. 19.

Of all the whacked-out nutjob conspiracy theories that have oozed up out of the muck, this one really has to take the prize for being the cruelest and most sadistic. Absolutely beyond the pale...

Anyone who would make death threats against parents who have all ready suffered the unspeakable horror of having a small child murdered is truly the slime of humanity...

In connection with this story, I heard the director of a documentary about the Newtown Massacre interviewed this morning. She made reference to "reviews" of her movie on IMDB...

Here's a link to the reviews for those with strong stomachs:

Better or worse than this? I found my limit at 7 and marked the first time my stomach (no pun intended) couldn't take it.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

You said for those with sting stomachs I couldn't handle the above listicle and was wondering if your link required more or less intestinal fortitude (again no pun intended) than my link because if it takes more I won't bother.

It's an asymmetrical comparison; different types of stomach strength are required...

One is an ability to stomach reading things that are grossly ignorant and grossly offensive, the other is an ability to stomach reading things that are just plain gross...

Florida again, the armpit of the USA.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

cool. A lot of nice movie shots of Mifune and the evil Chancellor from "Chushingura" getting his just deserts.

The Japanese are serious people. There is a saying in Japan that 'being Japanese is so difficult that only the Japanese can do it'. (they are also profoundly racist)

The best and most motivated soldiers in WWII by a long chalk. And just as brutal, more in some ways, as the Nazis.
