Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Got it, BB. My Nana's favorite movie!

Keeping with the holiday theme —
"It's Christmas Eve!  It's... it's the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we... we... we smile a little easier, we... w-w-we... we... we cheer a little more.  For a couple of hours out of the whole year, we are the people that we always hoped we would be!"

I don't think it's the George C Scott version--Fred didn't stutter like that in the film. My guess would be Scrooged

And Big RR has it.
I guess that one was a little too easy.

Keeping with the holiday theme--LANGUAGE ALERT FOR MEADE
Christmas is more about warding off evil spirits than Halloween. What Christmas shit in this room resembles anything Christian, huh? It's all neo-pagan magic. Christmas tree, a magical rite ensuring the return of the crops. The mistletoe is nothing but a conception charm. Fifth century Christians jacked a Roman Winter Festival - twelve days in December when the nights were long and the Earth was ruled by the demons of chaos. And fucking Santa Claus? This fat voyeur that watches you all year long to make sure you live up to his standards of decency before breaking into your house.

A hint, this quote is from a remake of a better (but still crappy) movie of the same name; not as bad as Snata Claus Conquers the Martians, but still pretty bad.

Nope, not that one.

another hint: think more toward the horror/slasher genre.

A film that teaches the important lesson that it's never a good idea to choose the childhood home of a deranged killer to convert into your sorority house:

Well Jim, the quote is not from that film (from 1974 I think), but from the remake (of the same name) in the early 2000s (possibly 2006), but I'll give it to you. I'm not sure if there was a similar quote in the earlier film, but I don't think so. an interesting aside, as I recall, the 1974 film was first released under a title with Silent Night in it (Silent Night, Evil Night, perhaps), but it was later changed for general release, and had another name (that I don't recall) when it premiered on TV.

You've got it backwards.  It was a Canadian production released originally under the title "Black Christmas".  Warner Brothers changed the title to "Silent Night, Evil Night" for the US theatrical release.

I picked the wrong movie poster...

(I've seen both versions)

This movie already been done, but it's one of my favorite Christmas comedy movie quotes, so I'm going to use it anyway:
We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse."

This quote I believe is particularly apropos this past election season:
Now, shut up! Shut up, all of you! Now listen to me, you hicks. Yeah, you're hicks too, and they fooled you a thousand times like they fooled me. But this time, I'm going to fool somebody. I'm going to stay in this race. I'm on my own and I'm out for blood.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

No.

It's a film form the 1940's like "Citizen Kane".

I've never seen it, but I've read the book and seen the 2006 remake with Sean Penn.

I think you have it BSG; and I recommend you see the original movie--it's far superior to the remake IMHO.
