Iceland Foods hits back at Icelandic government over trademark
The supermarket Iceland claims that the Icelandic government is "not willing to hold any serious discussion" to reach agreement in a trademark dispute.
The country has launched legal action against the chain, claiming it prevents the nation's firms from describing their products as Icelandic.
Iceland Foods owns the European trademark for using the name Iceland.
The company sent a delegation to the capital Reykjavik on Friday but no agreement was reached.
"[The talks] got nowhere because it rapidly became clear that the Icelandic authorities have no interest in reaching a compromise," said founder and chief executive Malcolm Walker.
"We have no real idea why this has suddenly become such a major problem for Iceland (the country).
"Iceland Foods had Icelandic majority shareholders and Icelandic representatives on its board for seven years to 2012. At no point in all those years did any representative of Iceland (the country) raise the slightest concern about our company's branding," he said.

And Danish Ham need not come from Denmark; it is a generic term for a type of ham.

Here you go. (The closing "[/img]" tag just had to be moved back up to the same line the URL was on.)

And of course, this delectable treat:

Now that I think about it, the wood polish and the malt liquor may actually be the same product, poured into different bottles...

I'd put good money on that ...spits... "Welsh Rarebit" ...spits... being from the same bottle too.
BTW I use half strong cheddar, a quarter Jarlsberg, and some soft cheese such as a Cornish Brie. I also use a pale ale, rather than a strong beer, which tends to dominate the flavour.http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1500 ... sh-rarebit
225g grated, strong cheese such as Cheddar or Cheshire
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 level teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons flour
Shake of pepper
4 tablespoons beer, Guiness or milk (Guiness gives a stronger flavour)
4 slices bread toasted on 1 side only
Put the cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, flour and pepper into a saucepan.
Mix well and then add the beer, Guiness or milk to moisten. Do not make it too wet!!
Stir over a gentle heat until all is melted, and when it is a thickish paste, stop stirring, and swivel it around the saucepan, which it will do quite easily.
Leave to cool a little, and meanwhile toast the bread on one side only.
Spread the rarebit over the untoasted side and brown under a hot grill.
