In these next couple of weeks running up to the inauguration, POTUS-elect Donald Trump is making a distinct effort to meet with and connect with some of the ordinary people rather than the leaders of industry and other capitalist fat-cats. In fact, the other day he and his Secret Service escort made an unannounced stop at a Burger King outside of Washington DC, where Trump actually went up to the counter himself and told the kid behind the register to give him two Whoppers.
The clerk said, "Sure — you're an intellectual genius, and you're sure to be the best president this country has ever had." -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
This press conference is foul, disgusting, and gross. I'm sick. This man should not be President, he doesn't have the least interest in anything but lining his own pockets, and the pockets of his children and friends. He will be in violation of the U.S. Constitution the moment he take office. And WE the PEOPLE will keep pressing, keep questioning, and keep pushing until he is gone.
“I ask no favor for my sex. All I ask of our brethren is that they take their feet off our necks.” ~ Ruth Bader Ginsburg, paraphrasing Sarah Moore Grimké

Yesterday I watched most of the Senate committee hearing for the nominated Attny Genl. I liked Al Franken, speaking as the only one there who did not go to law school. Today I watched the hearing on the Sec of State. Occasionally the GOP senators interrupted their speeches to permit the nominee to say a few words.
And in his press conference, the Donald called this 'BRILLIANT' The Donald has surprisingly low standards for brilliance. That is my conclusion from his press conference.
