"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
This is from the third Bond movie, and 50-plus years later, it's still one of the best — if not THE best ....
"Goldfinger".

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
Re: Name That Movie!
And BB has it. FWIW, it's my third best right after On Her Majesty's Secret Service (I loved the ending) and From Russia with Love (I loved all the gadgets--it was also the first Bond movie I saw in the movies), one of the greats.
Was it the quote or the auric digit non hint?
Your turn.

Re: Name That Movie!
It was most definitely the quote itself. I didn't even notice RayThom's 'hint' until you mentioned it.
Next quote ... and I'm taking it easy on you by selecting a movie that seems appropriate for the disaster that began in D.C. today.

"You're a good liar."
"Almost as good as you. There's, uh — there's no arrangement, is there?"
"No, there is. Not that you'll benefit much from it. I always win (name), one way or another."

So you know, Spader is on Fallon's Tonight show -- when? -- tonight. I'm watching him as I type this.Lord Jim wrote:... I'm a big fan of James Spader, (especially from his performances as Alan Shore in Boston Legal and Raymond Reddington in The Blacklist...) ... I really like the dry, deadpan sarcasm that he delivers in the roles he plays ...
The "Ultron" character had the "Spader persona" down to such a tee that it even used Spader's signature head nodding when he's making a point...

“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”

Uhhhh ....... no. Although it does have to do with big things in water.
I'll wait a little bit to put up more clues or another quote. I think too many people away from their computers as they are still in a mild state of shock now that the events of yesterday are over and things are starting to sink in.

Re: Name That Movie!
Not really a clue, but I'd be surprised if most people here haven't seen the movie.

This is not Jeopardy. You do not have to answer in the form of a question.Long Run wrote:Titanic?

But yes, it is from Titanic.

Re: Name That Movie!
I would have been clueless if you didn't provide the clue since I never saw the movie.

Is it, Mr. Shwarzenegger Goes To Washington?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

No to Wes and RT, though I like both of their guesses. MGM is on the right track and probably knows it if he wants it.

Re: Name That Movie!
Is it this? (I don't think I've seen whatever movie it is and I didn't see this one either)

Interesting choice of French title: not at all like Wag the Dog

Re: Name That Movie!
I think that's the last movie I enjoyed with either actor in it (let alone both of them).
Re: Name That Movie!
No, not Wag the Dog. It is older than that, early 70's, and its star has a sunnier disposition. I really thought Meade knew it based on his first response.
