trump is serious!!!!!
Re: trump is serious!!!!!
Because understanding and executing the Constitution is certainly a death threat to someone like you, or to your King Trumpanzee....

As far as I can see wes, Guin has not suggested doing anything that lies outside our democratic process...
You on the other hand, by hinting that you would fight to the death rather than accept the results of fully legal and constitutional processes of our democracy (lawsuits, impeachment, the invoking of the 25th amendment) are certainly implying that you are perfectly prepared to do so...
Wes, why do you hate the Constitution?

Re-read your own words. We had an election; not a revolution, not a coronation, not a takeover by a military junta, not even a coup d'etat.wesw wrote:jim, I m only observing what I believe will happen.
we had an election and it will be defended.
We also had an inauguration where Mr. Dumb'old Trump stood up and, with his hand on a Bible and with the name of God on his lips, SWORE AN OATH that he would "... to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Maybe you'd like to watch it again to refresh your memory?
So if you're going to defend anything, you should be defending the Constitution ... all of it, not just the parts you like.
And then maybe we should send Mr. Trump a copy of the Constitution so that HE knows just what the hell it is that he was promising to "preserve, protect, and defend".

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

She's holding a toy gun and 'shooting' at a projected display, and you're taking it seriously?
Sounds more like the old Nintendo "Duck Hunt" to me.

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
Wes apparently believes that when we elect a President, that person is supposed to become the unquestioned dictator with unfettered powers, subject to no check on anything they chose to do, until we have the next election...(Well, at least if it's a President he happens to approve of...)
That is how it works in some countries, (Russia comes immediately to mind) but that is NOT how it works here....
Under our system, the process of reviewing the actions (and the actors) of government is a constant and ongoing one. This is absolutely essential to prevent tyranny. The architects of the Constitution well understood this and that's what they deliberately built in remedies against tyrannical encroachment beyond simply holding elections.
As Madison famously wrote in Federalist 51:
Apparently you don't think much of the "auxiliary precautions"....
Have you ever read The Federalist Papers wes?

As Madison famously wrote in Federalist 51:
http://www.constitution.org/fed/federa51.htmIf men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.
Apparently you don't think much of the "auxiliary precautions"....

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
Hello, separation of powers. It's not just a cute phrase, its the basis of the structure of our entire government. The Founders were terrified of too much power being placed in any one person or entity, and thus sorted duties and responsibilities among the three branches.
But that goes to the essence of my comments. The little minion and his Trumpanzee friends can bleat about an Amendment or two, but apparently none of them have read the Articles -- you know -- the actual Constitution, prior to any amendment, which sets out the structure of government. If you haven't familiarized yourself with the Articles first, the Federalist Papers will make no sense.

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
you are both full of shit.
I see no evidence of trump being unfit or insane.
any effort to remove him as being such I would view as illegitimate.
just because I don t bother to respond to your specious arguments doesn t mean that I don t understand them, only that I don t believe them to be valid or worthy of response.
I think that your premises are bullshit, no fancy talk needed.

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
I just realized ....
That if the flying saucer were ever to land and the little green men come out and say, "Take us to your leader", I would now have to direct them to Donald Trump. Just how embarrassing would that be?
In fact, I wouldn't blame them a bit if they got right back into their spacecraft and left, convinced that there is no intelligent life on this planet.
