has signed no less than a dozen Executive Orders calling for actions that start to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, initiate action against illegal immigrants, call for building a wall, the setting aside of the TPP and NAFTA, and remove provisions in FHA home loans that will cost the average American more money when purchasing a home. Not laws, which are bills that are proposed in Congress and (supposedly) debated and tweaked until something that is in the best interest of most if not all Americans emerges, but unilateral orders promulgated at the whim of a single man. This is not government of the people, by the people, and for the people. This is instead government of the Trump, by the Trump, and for the Trump and his cronies. Don't think of the greatest good for the greatest number, think of a return to feudalism. Don't think of President Roosevelt declaring December 7th a "day of infamy" as he requests (not orders) Congress to declare war on Japan, think instead along the lines of the King of Id on his balcony delivering his latest royal decree to the peasant multitude assembled below.
"L'etat, c'est moi" (I am the state) may have been acceptable in the day of Louis XIV of France. This attitude did, in the short term, bring France to its peak of absolute power but also ultimately led to the French Revolution. Trump's actions may in fact cause a short-lived bubble of glory, but let's wait to see what happens in the long term.
