The only 'Agent Carter' I ever gave a damn about was this one —

the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions."

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

TV SHOW SPOKESWOMAN

Post by RayThom »

I refuse to buy premium cable so my feelings may be considered limited but the two best series on television at the moment are "The Good Wife" and "Madam Secretary." These shows represent their star's gender magnificently. I never miss an episode. Sadly, Julianna Margulies has indicated this is her last season for TGW. Damn, and curses!

Here's Julianna. She, too, knows it... and shows it:

Well to each their own...

The Good Wife always looked a little too soap operaish for my taste, and Madam Secretary looked like a promo for Hillary Clinton...

I've never really understood the need some women have to parade half naked. I suppose it's a Hollywood requirement? But then there are a number of very accomplished actresses who don't jump on the 'barely cover the cleavage' bandwagon, so there's that.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

And what about the guys? It's almost like there's some kind of double standard in Hollywood. Go figure.
