Witches around the world reportedly will gather Friday to cast a mass spell on President Donald Trump at the stroke of midnight.
The idea for the "binding" ritual allegedly originated from a document circulating in both public and private witchcraft groups on the Internet. A Facebook group has been created for the event.
The spell aims to "bind" Trump and "all those who abet him" from doing harm instead of actually injuring them. Cursing or hexing the president and his aides could generate "negative blowback" or bad karma on the caster, not to mention inquiries from the Secret Service. A binding spell is more like a magical restraining order.
The moon is in waning crescent moon stage Friday, which apparently is as good a time as any to cast a binding spell. Further spell rituals are planned for the next four waning crescent moon days — March 26, April 24, May 23, June 21 (the summer solstice — a red-letter day on the witching calendar) — or until Trump leaves office.

Won't they get in trouble with the eye of newt thing?

... and what's this "boil, boil" stuff? A double entendre?

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I'm not sure how much power a bunch of witches are going to have against a high-ranking demon sent personally by The Prince Of Darkness...

Re: Boil, Boil, Toil And Trouble....

this kind of reminds me when Chrisitan groups met publicly to pray for the death of a Supreme Court justice (Blackmun I think, but I'm not certain).

They have no right to call themselves as "Christians" if they pray for anyone to die.Big RR wrote:

I'd agree with that as it is against pretty much what christianity stands for, but they still did (and the media cooperated by keeping that claim in their headlines.
Re: Boil, Boil, Toil And Trouble....
It's not at all comparable, Big RR. A binding spell prevents someone from doing harm to others, it does NO harm to them. Not AT ALL like wishing someone dead!

OK, I thought it had something to do with making him constipated.
But seriously, I was referring to invoking some higher power or magic to achieve one's desired end.

I asked my higher power to keep me sober today. It worked yesterday so I figured I would try it again today. So far it's working.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Yes... so far. The demons are forever persistent and pernicious.
