Think of it as a full employment program for clerics. (I'm pretty sure Protestants build churches and pay their pastors, also too.)
Ja nie. Faith and worship is not the pretense.

Inventing "this is Jesus' tomb" and "this is a piece of the cross" and "this is the table used for the last supper" and "this is the room of the last supper" and "this is Simon the Tanner's house", etc. etc. etc. All lies created by Catholics. And sucking in gullible Protestants on trips to Israel... "Oooooh. We saw the first chair Jesus built as a carpenter"

Idiots preyed upon by venal prelates.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

As I recall, the Garden Tomb story was concocted by some protestant churches because they were ticked off that the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was divided between the orthodox and Roman Catholic churches and left no room for them.

er, Big RR... it probably was a cave. They didn't bury him in a church building. There was no building. Wiki, she say:
The church contains, according to traditions dating back to at least the fourth century, the two holiest sites in Christianity: the site where Jesus of Nazareth was circumcised, presented in the temple, where he drove out the money changers, was crucified, at a place known as "Calvary" or "Golgotha", and Jesus's empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected.
My point is not to do with the "where" but the wholly (and unholy) manufacturing of relics and places by the Roman church. I see no difference between this "veneration" of arbitrarily chosen things and places and this guy:

Yikes! Is that a can of "DOOM" bug spray... and anointed right to the face?

Yes, Ray, it is exactly that. The Prophet of Doom (tee hee) cures cancer, HIV, warts, roomytizz and more ailments than any of the real (ahem) relics. He has received a court order to stop doing it but he's thinking of switching to oven cleaners. Apparently they are just as useful
Lethebo Rabalago can be seen on Mount Zion General Assembly's Facebook page spraying the insecticide in people's faces while members of the congregation look on

Tiger Brands, the company that produces Doom, has warned people the product is not designed to be sprayed at or even near people and a South African government commission has urged people to complain if they suffer as a result.

South African actress and TV presenter Boity Thulo tweeted: 'It breaks my heart that our people are so desperate for change, they are so easily duped. Their vulnerability used against them. #Doom.'

But yesterday Mr Rabalago responded to the criticism in another Facebook post: 'People are so cruel. How can one insult a Prophet of God. Forgive them father for they do not know what they are doing.'
