Name That Movie!

In case it's not obvious Meade is wrong in a Ray-like fashion.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

A great many intelligent people have no real interest in Asian action/fighting films; I think it is beyond arrogant to insinuate we are all fucking idiots because we don't know this movie.

No it's just at that point it should be abundantly clear what the title is.

I knew that if it's a Chinese martial arts film (and it is) I would never have the slightest chance of getting it because I've never seen any of those, so I googled it...and I suspect that's what Meade did too. (He's been giving some good clues, and one of them even had the correct star.)
After I found it I read the synopsis on IMDB and it actually seems like it might be a film that rises above its genre, with a Rashomon-type plot structure and some historical significance—and apparently the quote that CP gave is from near the end and provides a significant summary of the film's, umm...leitmotif?)

Is there anyone that hasn't yet looked it up or is completely lacking in a sense of humor?

The title is hard to find.

The film is beautifully shot as well. Not to mention the scale you get when you can use The Peoples Army as extras.Econoline wrote:I knew that if it's a Chinese martial arts film (and it is) I would never have the slightest chance of getting it because I've never seen any of those, so I googled it...and I suspect that's what Meade did too. I've never seen it, but I get it from the clues.
