Bill and Teds Bogus Journey
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
Wait Keanu Reeves and Hopper? Speed!

Re: Name That Movie!
Pretty sure I know it now. (After enough research to disqualify me) I think you got the time frame slightly off. If I'm right many actors delivered great odd roles.
You know....the guy!

Re: Name That Movie!
Removed thought since it is too close to the answer after I looked it up.
Re: Name That Movie!
Not Bill/Ted or Speed; something a bit darker.
LR, I'm pretty sure the movie release date was in the mid 80s.

Re: Name That Movie!
The one I'm thinking it is was released in 90. But the 90s really didn't start til '92

Re: Name That Movie!
You're wrong then CP - the movie was released mid-80s.

This movie is the answer to the trivia question, "What was the other movie that featured Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper?"Crackpot wrote:Wait Keanu Reeves and Hopper? Speed!

Re: Name That Movie!
I hate to think that's the case; with a production cost of just under $2 million, it grossed $4.6 million. Better than a lot of films.
Re: Name That Movie!
To move things along, one more hint: the film also starred Ione Skye (also in Say Anything ans Wayne's World0 and was, I believe her first film. It also starred a very young Crispin Glover (also in Back to the Future and Alice in Wonderland).
Re: Name That Movie!
I believe you if you tell me it is a good movie, but $4.6 million divided by $4 ticket = 1.15 million tickets purchased. If some people went more than once, pleased/stunned at the quality of the movie, then under 1 million saw it on the big screen. And, of course, some of those people have passed away since the 80's. Which means about 330 million people in our country didn't see it on the big screen. Based on your review, I wish it had rerun value anywhere approaching Speed, but I've never seen it or even seen it listed (and as Gob would point out, I, like many here, watch way too much television). If my memory holds, I will try to track it down in the digital void.I hate to think that's the case; with a production cost of just under $2 million, it grossed $4.6 million. I just did a quick check and Showtime's got it through the end of June...I will try to track it down in the digital void.

Re: Name That Movie!
I know this movie - without researching, although I did verify the release date - but I'm not answering because if you win, you have to play.

Put me on the spot -- guess it's time to make use of the Showtime fee.Lord Jim wrote: I just did a quick check and Showtime's got it through the end of June...

Well, you can always pass your turn to someone else...
(I passed a turn to Ray once...I'd pass one to Kristina, but she's not around regularly...)
I didn't remember the quotes, (I had heard of it, but I've never seen it) I remembered the title from the Hopper - Reeves connection...

Re: Name That Movie!
You don't watch Homeland?guess it's time to make use of the Showtime fee.
(Season six just wrapped up a week ago)

Re: Name That Movie!
Yes, but it hardly merits the cost for most of the recent seasons. Now, Ray Donovan is worth something.

Got it, from the clues and the wrong guesses: River's Edge (Never saw it, though.)
