Jim has it.

Re: Name That Movie!
Well, I'm tempted to pass my turn to rubato, just for the humor value of all of the gratuitously insulting replies he would make to incorrect guesses...
("Even a person of the meanest intelligence would know that was wrong", "A smart person would know the right answer. That would not be you.", "Your answer has left me with no choice but to be condescending and call you ignorant", "Sorry, twy twy again", etc.)
But I'm going to do what I said I would do and pass my turn to the first person who comes into this thread and wants to give a new clue for a new flick...
(But let me also give fair warning; if no one should choose to do so by tomorrow, I will pass my turn to Strop...
)

Do it, Jim!Well, I'm tempted to pass my turn to rubato, just for the humor value of all of the gratuitously insulting replies he would make to incorrect guesses...
I double-dog dare ya!

Re: Name That Movie!
As reluctant as I am to ever decline a double-dog dare, I don't think there'd be any point to it in this case...
I don't believe rube has ever even once posted in this thread, (which may to a certain extent have contributed to it's longevity
) and I seriously doubt he would participate...
To participate in a thread like this requires at least a minimal level of being a "good sport" and in case you hadn't noticed, being a "good sport" has never been one of rube's most noteworthy characteristics...
But if he'd like to give it a go, I'm happy to pass my turn to him...

Name That Movie!
I'm a much better guesser than quoter.
I feel old. But not very wise. So I'll just play along.

Re: Name That Movie!
I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn’t a second at all. It stretches on forever, like an ocean of time. For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout Camp, watching falling stars. And yellow leaves from the maple trees that lined our street. Or my grandmother’s hands, and the way her skin seemed like paper. And the first time I saw my cousin Tony’s brand new Firebird. And Janie, and Janie. And Carolyn. I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me, but it’s hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain, and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life. You have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m sure. But don’t worry. You will someday.

Sci-Fi noir:
First there was darkness. Then came the strangers. They were a race as old as time itself. They had mastered the ultimate technology. The ability to alter physical reality by will alone. They called this ability "Tuning". But they were dying. Their civilization was in decline, and so they abandoned their world seeking a cure for their own mortality. Their endless journey brought them to a small, blue world in the farthest corner of the galaxy. Our world. Here they thought they had finally found what they had been searching for.

Dark City. Great movie.
Every once in a while I hear rumors of Keifer Sutherland doing a prequel.
