i took it down on Nov 9th out of respect and in hopes of healing.
I will be putting myself and my family in danger if I do.
live free or die.
I guess that I d better take my fair share of abuse.
freedom isn t free.
I used to think the "silent majority" was laughable, but we are here now.
no one polls us.
we don t riot. we abide, and wait til the last possible hope of peace and liberty has gone before we fight.
a stupid way to fight really........
those of you who have a life and don t spend every moment watching every speech and testimony , and every bit of coverage....
....you can t realize how dishonest the reporting is.
it is all distortions and twistings and outright lies.
they truly are the most dishonest and disgusting people.
everyone sees it, but half swallow the company line for the sake of "our democracy".... bullshit....
time to put the trump sign back up
time to put the trump sign back up
A little dated but still relevant.
You're A Mean One Mr. Trump:
You're A Mean One Mr. Trump:

“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”
Re: time to put the trump sign back up
Well, I fed that into my trusty Truthslator, and here's what came out:....you can t realize how dishonest the reporting is.
it is all distortions and twistings and outright lies.
they truly are the most dishonest and disgusting people.
everyone sees it, but half swallow the company line
Seriously, a Trumpanzee complaining about "distortions and twistings and outright lies".......you can t realize how dishonest Trump is.
Everything he says are all distortions and twistings and outright lies.
He is truly the most dishonest and disgusting person.
everyone sees it, but his blind supporters swallow the company line

ETA:
The good news for the future of American democracy is that you, (and other's like you who have jettisoned their grasp on reality) are no where near a "majority"...I used to think the "silent majority" was laughable, but we are here now.
More like around 35%, and dropping, as more and more people find it impossible to ignore or deny the overwhelming evidence...

This piece relates to wes's post:

- You notice things.
You notice the lack of things.
These neighborhoods are the middle. Poor or modest or moderately wealthy, this is the center.
These neighborhoods are all very different, but they have at least one thing in common.
There are almost no political signs.
There were plenty of signs before the election, Trump, Clinton, various others, and not always where you might expect. But by the end of November they were nearly all gone. And now I can ride for blocks through vastly diverse neighborhoods without seeing a single political sign.
They have moved on.
Now, I don’t mean they’ve surrendered to the current situation, and I don’t mean they haven’t. What I mean is they don’t feel the need to advertise an allegiance to one side or the other of an election that’s long over.
They’ve moved on.
Doctor, lawyer, Indian chief. Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief.
But then there are the other places.
The edges.
The extremes.
And in those places, the signs are still up.
They want you to know they are on the winning team.
Far down a back road, unexpectedly, is this … house.
You can read the whole essay here (Stonekettle Station), where it originally appeared, or here (The Daily Beast), where it was later reprinted. Well worth a read.
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Sobering thought for the day ....
Like it or not — and most people do not — Donald Trump is the President of the United States. Which means that once he completes his term in office and someday does finally shuffle off this mortal coil, this visage

will be immortalized on an official American postage stamp.
Good thing all stamps are now self-adhesive rather than the dry glue/lick-'em-and-stick-'em style of days past. Otherwise, even twenty years or more from now, people would be spitting on the wrong side.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
