Wow, was that one ever a stinker...I really felt bad for Sean Connery having that film as his last on-screen performance in such a distinguished career... :?

Also not made in the mid 70s....

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

That's not 20% correct, it's not 10% correct, it's not even 7% correct....

I have no clue.
And I even saw a movie or two back in the mid 70's.

The mathematical clue finally gave it to me.

(Never saw the movie, although I did read the book back in the day.
Maybe I should go see if they've got it on the shelf at Family Video.)

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Bill has it...

The flick has some great dialogue; very well written and superbly cast...

It starred Nicol Williamson in the role of Sherlock Holmes...

A fine British actor, but not as well known as many of the other actors in the film...

Robert Duvall, Alan Arkin, Lawrence Olivier, Vanessa Redgrave, Joel Grey or probably even Charles Gray...

Charles Gray later reprised the role of MyCroft Holmes that he played in this movie a number of times in the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series...

This makes 4 or 5 in a row that I haven't heard of. This one is apparently "well" known for being a historic box office flop.
