17 for 20 myself.
I'll stick close to you two; one of you will make a mistake and die first, and then at least I'd have a supply of food. :stir:

I didn't make it to the end of the test.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Some of the questions are badly written. Water is more important for survival in a moderate climate but warmth is more important in a cold climate or if you are under dressed in even a cool climate.

Actually, a moderate climate is where the body can survive longest without water. Too hot or too cold is where the body becomes dehydrated more quickly. In the cold, the metabolism rises to try to keep the core organs warm and functioning; a faster metabolism utilizes more water and needs quicker replenishing.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

I always thought the most important thing was shelter ... which would provide warmth, protection from the elements, possibly even a defensible position against other natural threats (wildlife), as well as a base site from which one could forage for food and water.  That's why one of the most important things a person can do when in a survival situation (caught in a blizzard, stranded by vehicle breakdown in the backwoods, or even endure a forced landing of an aircraft) is to stay with or near the vehicle instead of striking out blindly on foot thinking you're going to hike your way out of trouble.

That makes sense, BB.

In addition, a car or plane is more visible to anyone searching from the air. (Assuming anyone's looking, of course!)

I think they were all trick questions. I became buzzard food before the sixth question and decided I will now always carry a GPS with backup batteries, a dozen skyrockets, some flares, a BIC lighter and get a subscription to one of those "Help I've fallen down and I can't get up" things....

The "Titanic" had rockets, and we all know how much good it did them.  And a GPS or cell phone won't be worth a damn either if there's no coverage where you're stranded.

Well then I'll just avoid places that have no cell coverage and I'll stay away from icebergs. Oh... and I'll always carry trail mix.

Staying with any crashed/stuck vehicle/plane/bus/... is always best.
At the very least, it usually provides a ready made shelter.
I am never without a pocket knife, except for when I get on a plane as the bastards won't let me carry it. But it's in my stowed suitcase (not that I would find it if I survived a plane crash).

Lighter/matches is another "always carry" (i am a smoker) and for some reason TSA has not confiscated those things even when I have them in my carry-on.

I usually have water or unsweetened ice tea (or both) in my car. And I always have a spare windbreaker in there also.
In the cold weather I carry an extra coat, boots and gloves in the car (and in the snowmobile). And a shovel in the car during winter also.

As the song goes
I will survive.
