Two screenshots, ten minutes apart.

Well yes. Their food IS crap, and recently it has also become more expensive than some sit-down diners in my area.

But tomorrow nite there is a funeral for a cousin of mine. She died of ALS. Her husband died 15 years ago. Her two children will be there. Both have birth certificates with sex marked as male. One will have long hair and be referenced in the obit as she and her. I know some of the pain, emotional and physical she went through in making her choices and the surgery and various therapy regimens. I wish her all the rainbows she can absorb.

I am no fan of their food either, but sometimes they are on the right side of issues and do good works. One I particularly recall is when a friend of mine died while we were juniors in high school. Some of us wanted to set up a scholarship fund in his name, and we approached McDonalds (where he worked part time) for a donation--the corporation donated $1000. To recognize how much this was, minimum wage was around $1.65 and it would have nearly covered 2 years tuition at a state college or university (or a year at a private school). I was impressed.

The Ronald McDonald's houses for families of kids in hospital is another great program, plus they have a good scholarship program for employees.

I like their fries once in a great while, the breakfast biscuit is okay when I don't have time to eat home cooked breakfast, and even though I live in the land of Dunkin' Donuts, I get coffee far more often from McD's 'cuz it's only $1, hot or iced - can't beat that!
