I read somewhere that all immature narcissistic sociopaths are embarrassed by the way Trump represents them.

Well, Trump is now on the record as saying he would answer questions under oath about his conversations with Comey, ("100%") so I hope Mueller takes him up on it....(Since he's volunteering, I'd like to see the Senate Intel Committee take him up on it too...)

Of course Trump is also on the record as saying that he would release his tax returns, so we know what Trump publicly promising to do something is worth...

Taken in total, Il Boobce's position can be summarized as, "I was totally vindicated by a lying leaker"...

It would be nice if we could get all the DC types to stop using the word "terrist" and to try real hard to avoid "Constooshun". There is little hope.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I know it's not scientific, but CNN is conducting a poll. The one question: do you believe James Comey's testimony?

Results at the moment (6:39 PM Central) are 246,917 votes cast with 90.8% yes.

Edited to add a link.

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Oh, I have no doubt that if he actually makes good on his pledge to answer questions under oath, he'll lie his ass off...

In fact I'm counting on it... :ok

I'm sure with all the depositions he's given with all the many times he's been sued, that Il Boobce's lied under oath many times...I'm sure he thinks absolutely nothing of doing it...he's an arrogant SOB who figures he'll never caught...

But I seem to recall lying under oath playing a prominent role as an Article in another Bill Of Impeachment, regarding another arrogant SOB...

Oh yeah, here it is; right there in Article I:
The president provided perjurious, false and misleading testimony...

I wanted to talk a little bit about this:
“The president’s new at this,” Mr. Ryan said at a news conference. “He’s new to government. And so he probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between D.O.J., F.B.I. and White Houses. He’s just new to this.”
As I said, that's a horseshit explanation, but I'm sure it's a horseshit explanation that has Trump seething...

Trump doesn't want the Congressional GOP "defending" him by saying he's some sort of bumpkin who doesn't understand how Washington works and just doesn't know what he's doing...

That runs completely counter to Trump's fundamental fantasy narrative of how he's this brilliant guy who understands everything better than anybody else...

In fact during the campaign, I recall him specifically bragging about how well he understood Washington because of all his dealings with DC politicians over the years, and all the business he's had with the federal government...

What Trump wants is for the Republicans on The Hill to adopt the exact same line that he, and his shill shyster, and all of his spokes-minons and his cable news talking-head Trumpanzee propagandists (Jeffrey Lord, Kayleigh McEnany, Scottie Nell Hughes, etc.) have taken...

That he has received "total and complete vindication", James Comey is a lying leaker, blah, blah, blah, yada yada yada...

He ain't gettin' that...

There may be some GOP congress critter who's been willing to do that who I've missed, but so far from what I've seen, every Republican House and Senate who has been willing to make any kind of defense for Trump over this, (and many haven't been willing to say anything publicly about Comey Vs. Trump; Mitch McConnell for one...) has expressed some version of the "he just didn't know what he was doing" "defense" that Ryan offered...

Nobody (at least that I've seen) is standing up and saying "I believe the President's version over James Comey's" (Let alone that Trump has received some sort of "total vindication")

Nobody seems to be standing up to question Comey's veracity or version of events...

I'm personally very unhappy with the "he didn't know what he was doing" rationalization that many Republicans on The Hill have taken, (at least for now) but I take some comfort from the fact that I know Donald Trump must be very unhappy with it too...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Trump doesn't shoot himself in the foot yet again, and under-cut those making excuses for him (like he did when he got pissed off at people trying to defend him on his travel ban EO by claiming it wasn't a travel ban) in a tweet where he angrily declares that he understands PERFECTLY how Washington works, and what he's supposed to do as President...
