Adolf Hitler had dogs who loved him, as did many, many other evil fuckers over the millennia. Dogs don't judge a person's soul.
The fact that Donald has never wanted a dog says something about him. Worse still (because maybe he has allergies) is the fact that apparently he doesn't own a single pair of jeans.

Right you are, oldr. NY Times By JASON HOROWITZ JAN. 2, 2016oldr_n_wsr wrote:President Trump's brother Fred, died of alcoholism. That explains everything to me. In a telephone interview last week, Mr. Trump said he had learned by watching his brother how bad choices could drag down even those who seemed destined to rise. Seeing his brother suffering led him to avoid ever trying alcohol or cigarettes, he said.
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/03/us/ ... ml?mcubz=0He also said that, at 69, he had grown to appreciate his brother’s free spirit. “He would have been an amazing peacemaker if he didn’t have the problem, because everybody loved him,” he said. “He’s like the opposite of me.”

Republicans aren’t exactly clamoring to work for Donald Trump
Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., despite a series of shocking scandals, was rewarded with a promotion of sorts last month: Donald Trump, apparently impressed with Clarke’s often terrifying record, offered Clarke an appointment as an assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The position would not require Senate confirmation.
Over the weekend, however, Clarke announced he’d changed his mind. Despite having already accepted the job – his first day was scheduled for next week – Clarke “rescinded his acceptance” of the DHS offer.
It creates yet another administration vacancy the White House will have to fill, and as the Washington Post reported over the weekend, there are an awful lot of them.
To put the challenge in context, consider some specific numbers. By mid-June in the first year of his presidency, Barack Obama had 151 top political appointees in place. Eight years earlier, George W. Bush had 130 in place. Trump has 43.The array of legal and political threats hanging over the Trump presidency has compounded the White House’s struggles to fill out the top ranks of the government.
Trump’s firing of FBI Director James B. Comey last month and the escalating probe into Russian interference in the presidential election have made hiring even more difficult, say former federal officials, party activists, lobbyists and candidates who Trump officials have tried to recruit.
Republicans say they are turning down job offers to work for a chief executive whose volatile temperament makes them nervous. They are asking head-hunters if their reputations could suffer permanent damage, according to 27 people The Washington Post interviewed to assess what is becoming a debilitating factor in recruiting political appointees.
As one might expect, the White House denies the existence of a problem, but numbers like these are hard to argue with.
And while there’s almost certainly more than one explanation for Trump’s personnel troubles, it doesn’t help that the White House is in the midst of a crisis, created in part by the president’s own ignorance, impulsiveness, volatility, and alleged corruption. Some prospective administration employees told the Post they’re worried about having to hire attorneys if they joined Team Trump.
Most sensible folks looking for career opportunities don’t run towards a sinking ship; they run away from it.
The Post’s report added, “Potential candidates are watching Trump’s behavior and monitoring his treatment of senior officials.” Bill Valdez, a former senior Energy Department official who is now president of the Senior Executives Association, which represents 6,000 top federal leaders, told the newspaper, “Trump is becoming radioactive, and it’s accelerating.”
The article quoted one person, who was in line for a senior legal post in the administration, who decided to bow out after Trump fired then-FBI Director James Comey. “I decided, ‘What am I doing this for?’” the unnamed person said.
Let’s also not forget that former White House Communications Director Mike Dubke quit last month after just three months on the job. Soon after, the New York Times reported that the White House reached out to four different people about filling Dubke’s shoes, but all four “declined to be considered.”
Soon after, BuzzFeed ran a piece with some striking quotes that appear newly relevant. For context, note that BuzzFeed spoke with 20 Republican communicators and operatives, “many of whom have worked on Capitol Hill and in presidential campaigns,” and none of whom seemed eager to apply to serve as White House communications director.
All of this was before the president was the subject of a criminal investigation – a development the president seemed to confirm, only to be contradicted soon after by his own staff.“Hell no!” said one Republican – one of the most common type of responses BuzzFeed News got from operatives. “That would be career suicide.” […]
“That’s like asking someone who just witnessed a horrific bungee jumping accident whether they would like to go next,” one Republican source responded in a text message. “It would be only a few months on the job before tapping out the ‘I want to spend more time with family’ email,” another said.
One operative whose spouse works in the Trump administration dissolved into laughter upon being asked if they would want the role.
“Sorry, I’m sorry,” the source said between stifled laughter. “Oh, you’re being serious? Oh my god, I’m crying of laughter, why would anyone in their right mind want to be his communications director?”

Trump Selects Law Grad For Housing Job — Law School Says She’s Not A Law Grad
When Donald Trump decided to put his kid’s wedding planner in charge of low-income housing for New York and New Jersey — vesting her with responsibility for billions of dollars and the well-being of thousands based on her ability to pick a centerpiece — her defenders were quick to point to her law degree as proof of her basic level of competence for the task.
Her law school says she doesn’t have that degree.
Lynne Patton handled event planning for the Trumps for almost eight years, organizing everything from celebrity golf tournaments to slightly bigger celebrity golf tournaments. And she put together Eric Trump’s wedding! She also claims, on LinkedIn, a J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law:
Hey, there’s a little “N/A” there. I wonder what that’s for?
Oh. That’s why.On Thursday school registrar Jim Benson said Patton attended for two semesters but did not graduate.
While it’s “admirable” that she’s doing something to indicate that she’s not got the degree, including it at all is just misleading. By setting up her profile this way, “Quinnipiac University School of Law” shows up right beneath her profile picture — long before the point where she drops her “N/A” — to dupe any casual observer checking into her qualifications.
Also, two semesters is a lot less than the two years she claims she spent at the school, and pretending to have two years of law school education gives the impression of a greater degree of competence than bailing after two semesters would. This profile’s education section should be amended to read, “scored low enough on the LSAT to limp into a lower-tier school and couldn’t even hack the first year.” That would be a less attractive résumé, but it would be more accurate.
Oh, and if you’re wondering, there’s no explanation at all for that Yale reference — where she helpfully included no years and no degree. The Daily News called HUD asking why that was there, and the people they spoke to offered nothing. I guess you can just name schools you like in your education section now.
By the way, this page is set up to imply that someone went to Yale and could only manage to get into Quinnipiac Law, which should be a red flag to all but the dumbest possible employer. (but we're talking the Trump White House, so...)

As if choosing a party planner to run a huge chunk of HUD wasn't farcical enough, Jerry Falwell Jr. has been tagged to lead an "education reform task force". Can only imagine the tripe that this tool of the rabid reactionary religious right will come up with.

Maybe she owned a yale lock? Or maybe she went to a seminar there? Once I went to a week-long seminar at Harvard Business School, and I recall once seeing an oil filter made by a company called HArvard --perhaps I should put Harvard Business School or University on my resume?Oh, and if you’re wondering, there’s no explanation at all for that Yale reference — where she helpfully included no years and no degree.

Hey, I've got a USS Ronald Reagan navy cap...
Maybe I should list "The USS Ronald Reagan" on my resume, and if somebody concludes from that that I must have served a stint in the navy on an aircraft carrier, that certainly wouldn't be my fault...
You really, literally can not make this shit up...
In a way though, it has to be admitted that Ms. Patton is a natural pick for a major job in the Trump administration, because her resume aside, she does have the one most important qualification:
She's a brazen, shameless, and inveterate liar...

I know there's a Cambridge in Mass. So I'm thinking to add "Cambridge" to my CV in the Education section.
