scores of Trump supporters, who uniformly believe that Mueller, the Clintons, Comey and everyone else are all involved in a conspiracy to demonise Trump.
There's an old saying that's frequently attributed to Mark Twain, (though there's no proof that he actually wrote or said it):
"It's easier to fool people than it is to convince them they've been fooled"....
For the hardcore Trumpanzees, they've become so vested in the con they fell for that as the evidence mounts higher and higher that they've been had, they cling to the fantasy they bought all the more tightly...
They just are psychologically very resistant to face the genuine reality that Trump played them for fools, (that's fairly typical of human nature when a person has been played for a fool) so they grasp for any alternative reality they can reach for, even if it involves laughably preposterous conspiracy theories...
Some will do this no matter how high the evidence of the truth piles, (they'll keep screaming that the sky is purple with pink polka dots, no matter how blue everyone can see it is) but many people will come to a point (and that point will be different for different people) where the lies they're required to believe to continue to embrace the fantasy simply become too much for them to take, and they finally face reality...
And those folks, when they turn, will go from being the most hardcore Trumpanzees to being the most bitterly angry anti-Trumpers...people really don't like being played for suckers, and when they finally face the fact that they have been, it pisses them off big league...
There's significant evidence in the polling and anecdotally in interviews that disillusioned former Trumpanzees have given that this process is already underway...
