Hey, when no new clues are posted for two days, and nobody's getting the answer from the old clues, I figure blatant clues from the audience are fair game... 8-)

I was driving all yesterday. I had been planning on using the "Six Demon Bag" quote but I was losing hope with this lot.

You're better off, truly.

G: Tell me why you kept on kicking him. You had already won.

A: Knocking him down won the first fight. I wanted to win all the next ones, too. So they'd leave me alone.

Second quote, since no one is playing this game...
There is no teacher but the enemy. Only he will tell you where you are weak, where he is strong.

Hey, I'm still playing the game. It's one of my favorites, right after the weekly quizzes.
(Do you know who your enemy is?)

Maybe we've reached the end of this game.

Another quote:
G: We won! That's all that matters.

A: No. The *way* we win matters.

This is a movie based on a highly acclaimed book published almost 30 years before the movie was made. The author of the book considered it "unfilmable".

Datsun--I think it was a sci fi movie of sorts, but I cannot recall a name.

I'm not able to place it either...

But I'd bet that based on this:
Second quote, since no one is playing this game...
and this:
Maybe we've reached the end of this game.
"Game" must be one of the words in the title...

I was thinking something similar but event that doesn't help.

Datsun--was it a recent movie and broadly released?

Recent movie broad release didn't do that well some say that was more to do with competition than quality. I didn't see it so I can't comment on that.

"the end of this game" .....

"Ender's Game"?

Never saw the movie but recall having read the book back in my sci-fi fixation period.
And back in those days it would have been unfilmable.  Green-screen effects and CGI have completely changed movie-making.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
