wes, we want you back
Re: wes, we want you back
Oh please, he isn't going anywhere. How many times has he announced his departure now? Five? Six? And he keeps coming back, because he thrives on negative attention and does whatever he can to bring it on himself.
And wes, I wouldn't have started this thread if I wanted you to go away. It's fun watching buffoons make complete jackasses of themselves, and you do that better than anyone who has ever graced this place. The only mistake you made was believing that you serve any purpose here except comic relief.

I just find him to be depressing. He is not as stupid as he has spited himself Into being. He has just locked himself into the mindset of getting revenge or payback or whatever for a perceived slight that he ignores all else
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: wes, we want you back
That's absolutely hilarious, coming from the guy for whom "shit bombing" threads (with post after post of non-sequitur Youtube videos, and multiple one or two sentence posts in rapid fire succession) was standard operating procedure...it is a shame that you, some of you, most of you, shit bombed the trump thread into uselessness....
What did you expect the "Trump Is Serious" thread to be wes? A thread devoted exclusively to respectful praise for Donald Trump?

Re: wes, we want you back
wes accuses others of making that thread useless, when he chose to begin it with this OP:
And then, in the following several pages, he makes more disparaging comments about Trump than almost every other poster combined. It only began to piss him off when he decided, for whatever reason, to begin drinking the koolaid and was flummoxed when the rest of us wouldn't follow his lead.
Oh, such a "useful" comment, that. Clearly that was intended to inspire some deep discussion about serious issues.wesw wrote:I can tell because he let his hair go grey and combed it down for all to see.
hilarious. he has brown around the temples still. he goes grey his way.

Are we at all surprised that the resident Trumpanzee has nothing to say about Junior's collusion with Putin?

Re: wes, we want you back
I still find the "Trump Is Serious" thread very useful—as a place to put any Trump-related humor that doesn't fit into any other current thread. Just because it's useless for your purposes, wes, doesn't mean it's useless for the rest of us.
So...kudos to you for starting one of our longest threads ever!

Re: wes, we want you back
Wes, there's plenty of serious Trump stuff posted in the "Muscovite" thread, and the "Lots of Lawyers" thread, and the "Bill of Impeachment" thread, if serious discussion about Trump is what you're looking for...
For example, please feel free to give your serious and thoughtful take in the Muscovite thread on how you feel about Trump's son, son-in-law, and campaign manager deciding to attend a meeting when they were assured it would be with a "Russian government attorney" who was offering "some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia." that were described as "obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump,"...
(And before you just jump to your mindless Trumpanazee "CNN, New York Times, fake news" mantra, bear in mind that those are all verbatim quotes from the emails released by Donny Jr....)

Given the positions you've taken versus the way events have been unfolding, that is certainly understandable...I tire of discussing politics.
Defending the indefensible must get quite tiring...

Re: wes, we want you back
Can one describe the blind rejection of all rational thought and avoidance of factual exposition as "discussion"?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

This is a must see documentary on Netflix:
LJ, did you know Roger Stone called your gal Ana 'borderline retarded'?
He appears to be the worst thing that ever happened to your party.

Roger's been around a long time...
Unlike Trump, he's no fan of The National Enquirer:

I haven't been able to find Ana's response to this, but I doubt she lost much sleep or shed many tears...

I actually had missed that but since I've now looked it up, that appears to be one of the nicer things he had to say about her:LJ, did you know Roger Stone called your gal Ana 'borderline retarded'?

CNN will no longer have Donald Trump ally and former adviser Roger Stone on air.
"He will no longer appear as a guest on CNN," a spokesperson told POLITICO.
Stone had made disparaging remarks on Twitter about CNN political analyst Ana Navarro that were recently highlighted by Media Matters, a media watchdog group founded by Hillary Clinton ally David Brock.
Stone sent out tweets over the past few days calling Navarro, who was a Jeb Bush supporter, "Entitled Diva Bitch," "Borderline retarded" and "'dumber than dog s---." He also tweeted about Navarro in December, saying she reminded him of a "rabid pekinese."[Looks like Rog has an issue with strong women...well, at least the ones that aren't tying him up and getting him to bark like a dog...]
He previously called Navarro and former contributor Roland Martin "quota hires" for the network.[I read elsewhere that he also referred to Martin as a "fat negro"]
Other sites, such as Gawker, picked up on the post and called on CNN to stop inviting him on air.
In an email, Stone said CNN's decision "smacks of Soviet style censorship."
"I am an unapologetic critic of Ana Navarro because I question her qualifications to opine on any political topic — she is a 'Republican strategist' who has never actually worked on any campaign beyond an honorific title," Stone said.
"I am politically incorrect but it appears CNN is bowing to pressure from the Clinton apparatus — not very appropriate for an supposedly unbiased news network," he added.
I haven't been able to find Ana's response to this, but I doubt she lost much sleep or shed many tears...

Re: wes, we want you back
I put Roger ahead of Trump because apparently Roger was pushing Trump to run for the past 20+ years, so he's the evil genius behind this catastrophe. Also because he and his buddies Manafort & Black were the founders of the modern corrupt lobbying model. The documentary is pretty good, worth a look for any political junkie such as yourself.

Re: wes, we want you back
Oh, Roger's an evil bastard, no doubt about it...
I've seen some excerpts from the documentary, and an interview with the film's creator, Dylan Banks, did with Anderson Cooper...
I plan to give it a watch, but I suspect that while definitely Roger plays a role, that he probably overstates his importance...(I see in the IMDB review that he even claims to take credit for George W. Bush's victory in 2000, which is definitely braggadocio...)

Fuck you, too, Roger.

Our poster child for the effects of frontal lobotomy has been lurking, as recently as yesterday, but unsurprisingly has has nothing to say about the buffooneries of the West Wing in the past several days.

He really is missing all the fun this week. It's not half as fun without him here to provide the usual incoherent defense and assure us that everything is going great for Team Trump.
