No spoilers - or post a warning - because I'll be waiting until the whole season is available before I splurge on a month of HBO access.

We're taking advantage of the really nice weather we're having to have some friends over for a barbecue, followed by a re-play of the last two episodes of Season Six of GOT (which work really well together as a two-hour finale set-up for the new season) followed by the premiere of the first episode of Season Seven...

As I read it, almost the entire armada that Daenerys leads on the way to Westeros is swallowed up by a gigantic tidal wave. They had to complete the voyage using dugout canoes and rafts. The ensuing battle is really gruesome -- but, fortunately, many of the young women are fighting topless.

I read an episode summary and as usual, Ray has decided that his ass is the appropriate orifice from which to speak.

But I think people will enjoy watching who finally avenges the Red Wedding.

I'm all for the BBQ, but really nice weather doesn't make me want to go watch three hours of TV (I know, I know, its your thing, and I'm glad you had fun). I stole a long glorious Sunday with my Swede, starting with a leisurely breakfast (and coffee so good I made a second pot), then doing a bit of work (and watching my Swiss boyfriend win #8/#19) while he went running and grocery shopping. Afternoon we were on the beach with friends, I made a yummy summer dinner, and gorgeous rose sangria, and early to bed so he could shoot back to Maine for the week, and I could get killed by my trainer. It was a really good weekend.

It's the height of summer. Anyone who says that "W" word near me, prepare to die.....

Are you suggesting that I am wrong... again? Damn! I guess that also means that John Snow wasn't attacked and dismembered by Viserion over a pay dispute.

I better check my sources more thoroughly in the future.

I hear you. There's another filthy four-letter word that also starts with 'S' and ends in 'W' that I don't need to hear until at least Christmas.
Just remember, though — the hot weather we are (sort of) complaining about today is the same weather we're going to be longing for six months from now.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I'm not complaining, this is my fave season of the year. I'd be happy with 6 months of summer and two months each of the other three seasons.

Yeah, if I had to deal with similar scenes like this on a regular basis I'd probably be happy with a six month summer, too.

I'd opt for a six month Fall--banish the rain and mud of Spring, the heat and humidity of Summer, and the ice and snow of Winter to 2 months each and let's have six months of cool, crisp, dry weather with the added bonus of the leaves turning color.

The horror! Fall is nice, but spring is the most beautiful time of the year!

No. Spring is wet, soggy, muddy, and miserable. Give me summer.

I guess we'll have to settle for a balance of all four seasons, then. :nana

Just finished Season 6. Resigned to the fact that I won't be seeing Season 7 for another 2-3 years, if then. Should be back in SA for the foreseeable future at the end of September, assuming I'm living. Oh well....
