You can't get Amazon in SA? They have an HBO add-on for $15/mo. - you can wait for the whole season to be available, then watch it over the course of one month.

That's my plan.

Yes, unfortunately...too cold, too hot, too wet, and road work.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Well, BSG, you can go ahead and order that month of HBO; tonight is the GOT season finale...

They announced after last season that there would only be 13 more episodes, and rather than Do The Right Thing and have one 13 (as opposed to the usual 10) episode season, they've broken it down into two seasons...

Season 7, with 7 episodes, (the last one airing tonight)...

And then a final Season 8, next year, with six episodes....

A cynical person might think that the producers decided to string out the final 13 episodes over two seasons rather than present them in a single final season, so that they could milk every last promotional dime out of the most popular premium cable series of all time...

But I of course, believe the decision was made for purely artistic reasons...

I'm planning to subscribe for the month of September, as I still have 3 days left on my month of Acorn TV that I subscribed to watch Lochness (very good police procedural with fantastic location cinematography) and Janet King, among others.

I'd like to FINALLY get around to watching the last 4 seasons of The Wire when I subscribe to HBO, although I believe it might be available on Netflix now, the video quality on Amazon is better. I've seen season 1 three times, and keep stalling out for one reason or the other.

Did any of you happen to watch Westworld on HBO? I thought it was really great and am frustrated to wait another year for season 2.

Pretty good season finale...

The last Winterfell scene in the episode was particularly satisfying... :ok

Yes, very good show with some interesting philosophical concepts. Faintly recalls "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"
