Getting away with it all messed up

Thanks, Gob, I haven't heard that catchy piece of music in years. It fits perfectly with the video and how the young woman deals with surviving life on the edge. Overlooking her criminality, I really like her going against type. She got balls. Sadly, now she must pay.Gob wrote:... For those of you who don't know the song...
Getting away with it all messed up... that's the living...

I get a Mika "vibe" when I hear this James music.

Now THAT's the kind of criminal who deserves the term "crime spree"; there is a real sense of joy and adventure to her work. Determination and that "never give up" attitude.

Heck, she's practically a role model: Quick-thinking, shows initiative and creativity, has an optimistic can-do spirit. Maybe a bit too optimistic --after all, she'd have to drive all day and all night just to get out of Texas, and once she did, she'd be in Oklahoma, and that's not exactly an improvement of anyone's situation.rubato wrote:Now THAT's the kind of criminal who deserves the term "crime spree"; there is a real sense of joy and adventure to her work. Re James and Getting Away With It, that's a great song. In hindsight, I regret never having made it to Manchester back in the day. But if I had, I suspect I would have never come back -- in many senses of the phrase.
GAH!
